I am on Voyager in a couple of weeks time. I was trying to find the MDR dinner menus on the app as in another post someone said they are available before boarding.  I can’t find them. Anyone know if the menus for Voyager are on the app for upcoming cruises?

We are on the May 1st sailing, we can’t see the menus on the app either 🤷‍♂️

Hello! Where will you get this done? At the hotel or airport?  We fly in same day as ship departs so unsure if we have enough time to get test taken between arrival and sailing.

We are planning on getting ours done here (hope the picture loads).  It’s 195 krone which is about $30 US dollars, takes 20

minutes.  It’s only a 5 minute walk from where we are staying, so not too far from the ship.

Proctored tests are really an American thing. They’re not nearly as common in Europe (although they are available) and are rarely required.

Does that then mean, as per the confusion, that one would do their own antigen test at home/hotel and declare themselves negative?  That Royal would be ok with that?

We’ll use our result to obtain an EU Pass for the remainder of our trip through Europe so we are happy to go to a clinic in this instance

This is an option, but you have to call - can't do it online.

I’ve seen many ppl comment that you have to call Royal to do something with their booking.  If what’s being discussed is a possibility I too would be keen to do the same.

My question, what is the phone number?  I’m in Australia and booked online through a large online booking company, I’ve never tried or had and direct contact with Royal.

  5. I’ve been looking at these options for a while, waiting for a price change (read drop) but they never seem to change for me 🤷‍♂️

Currently $11.99 for soft drink package and  $61 for the deluxe (I think it was $61 as I can’t seem to be able to log in at the moment 🤦‍♂️)

After converting US$ to Australian dollars, for 2 ppl cruising, the Deluxe package would be almost $1500 Australian!  As much as we Aussies love a drink, that’s a lot of coin just for grog!

  6. Newbie here so please go lightly on me if this is wrong.

We booked through ***** (unsure if you are allowed to use business names or not) and have read what it believe is, if after you’ve made payment for your cruise and the price then goes down you can get a refund for that difference, or an OBC?

is this right, if so how would I go about finding out about price reductions and getting said OBC’s if applicable?

We are in Australia and the company is in the USA.

    thanks in advance 😊

RoyalUp is not a great program for people who really care about the location of their stateroom.  If your RoyalUp bid is accepted, a new cabin is assigned and you cannot reject it.  Nor can you just go back to your old cabin (a new person may now be assigned there…perhaps somebody who bid from an inside cabin).  As Biker mentioned, if another cabin in the exact same category is available that you prefer , they do allow swaps, but you should not count on that to solve your issue.  First, as many RoyalUp bids are accepted close to sailing date and sometimes in batches, you may find all the other cabins in your new category are assigned (perhaps to other RoyalUp bidders), so you cannot swap.  Secondly, even if others are available in your category, if your new cabin is not midship, those others might not be either.  Sometimes midship cabins are in a separate category from forward/aft cabins.  If your bride feels better about her first cruise because she picked a low, midship cabin, perhaps stay there this time.  If she feels well, perhaps spend time on high decks forward or aft, so she can experience the feel of the ship.  Depending on how it goes, she may be ready to try other cabins next time.  And have a wonderful trip.

Edit:  I should add though, if you study deck plans and find there are certain categories where every single cabin would be acceptable and the minimum bid is also acceptable, go ahead and bid.   As I do not know which ship nor which categories you have been offered, it is unfair of me to assume no category could suit you.  I have my doubts, but you could look…and you can come back to the boards to ask if you need help.

Thank you for this comprehensive and thought out response.  I’ve cruised many times and I love it, my wife on the other hand is convincing herself to embrace it in anticipation! Lol.

We did put a significant amount of consideration into the selection of our room so you are probably right, we should sit this one out.

Thank you for taking the time to respond 😊

We are floating on the Voyager of the Seas on May 1st from Copenhagen, when I looked at the RoyalUp option last night it said I wasn’t within 30 days so I couldn’t go any further, so thought I should ask through here 😊
