On the last cruise I had "fun Play Credits" I had to go to the casino cage and claim them. Like you read, I also read that I needed to bring the e-mail or mailer that stated the offer, but I was never asked to present anything when I went to the casino cage, and they had my name on their list of cruisers that were due "Fun Play".

At the cage, they offered to either load the funds on my sign and sail card for use in the slots, or they would give me "fun play chips" for the table games. I took the chips, which are not the same as casino chips. The "fun play chips" cannot be exchanged for cash, and could only be used to play at the tables. I managed the use of the chips by always taking any winnings, which are paid out in standard casino chips, and only playing with them until they were gone.

That was my experience, but yours may vary.

If you win on your bet with the free chips do they also take those?  Or are they play until you lose?

Reply, that doesn't look like the right screen to me.  This is how mine looks (screen shot I pasted to word to post here).  As you can see I already added insurance and gratuities, so I only have the "remove" option on gratuities now.  But before I added them and the insurance the little "add" showed under each line items.  As you will see is also where you can cancel the cruise.  Are you doing it on your phone instead of a computer, maybe that's the difference?

Here is the snip of mine from my CPU.

This was the screen where I had seen them in the past.  Just showing 0 now instead of remove or add.

If you don't cruise until June you should be able to add, and then pay yourself.

Just go into Booking Order Details, View Invoice Details (yours should said Paid in Full next to it if it is paid off)... once you click on the invoice the gratuities (as well as insurance) will show - underneath it should say "add".  Just click on that under gratuities.  When you do this it will add them and you will have a new balance for that amount, you can then just click to make a payment.

I have seen that in the past.  But here is all I see now.

  4. So I have kind of a similarish question.

I wanted to prepay my gratuities for my upcoming cruise in June.  I have everything else prepaid and my invoice says fully paid.  But I never added the gratuities.  When I try to go back in to add them they are showing 0, so I can't pay them.

Do I just need to call?  I want to pay these with a CC credit that will be expired soon.

  5. I signed up for the credit card and I am waiting for the bonus.  I figured it would take some time to get the FunPoints.

My question relates to the 0% APR.  If I book a cruise ticket I have 0% APR for 6 billing cycles.  I was going to take advantage of this to spread out my payments.  I did not originally add the gratuities.  Is it too late to add those to the card and use the 0% APR?  I have read the T&C and having a tough time figuring it out.  What MCC do gratuities show on your statement?

  6. I am a CET status matcher and was one of the fortunate one's that kept their status during the time they took everyone's away and then gave it back.  I have matched status for years.  I also matched my Diamond card to a VIFP offer and then in a few days I was getting a free interior room with 200 OBC and 100 FP.  A few days after that I also received one for a balcony with the same benefits.

I can actually book both those deals separately.  My wife also has a Diamond card, so that is another two bookings.  You could realistically get this deal for 4 cruises for 2 people.  We are combining our deals and booked interior rooms connecting with our children.

This type of offer with no show of previous play just seems wild in my mind.  We were not going to be cruising while the kids were this young but I felt there was no reason not to take advantage of this.

you cannot share the packages like this. If you get caught they will cancel your package with no refunds, and the DO watch for this. You won't be able to get away with paying for one package and both using it.

If you and your wife are in different rooms, you can buy just one drink package.  In my experience they have been strict on the 5 minute wait (we both had Cheers so sometimes I would try to grab my husband a drink without his card).
To be clear, no sharing is allowed and if they catch you, I would expect they would suspend the package.

I would think if you are in different rooms with people under 21, yes, one of you could get the package. How hard will it be to get you both drinks on that one packages? Hard if you are both there and want it at the same time. I’m not going to say I’ve never shared a drink with someone. But I wouldn’t try and do that for an entire cruise. Pain in the butt and, to be totally honest, you are 100% being cheap if you go that route. Not judging. But it is cheating the system.

Thanks everyone!  I was worried about it too.  Does not sound like it's worth the risk of it.  We will just pay as we go.

  8. So I have kind of a a few questions. But let me explain first.  My wife and I both booked separate casino offers and both have one of our kids in the room with us.  I was actually able to book at the same time and get our rooms connected just because those were both still open. Both are kids are young and under 21.

Since they are separated and under different names, can one of us get the drink package?  We would likely sign one kid up for bubbles too.  I know we would absolutely get our money's worth.

Also, I know there is a 5 minute wait between each drink.  Is it going to be a pain trying to get both of us a drink? And what other issues will we have at certain locations making this happen? We aren't going to drink heavily, but enough to make it worthwhile.

If she wants her own drink at dinner and locations that are hard to get us both a drink, we are okay paying out of pocket for those circumstances.  I am not trying to be "cheap", but trying to know what to expect and get good value out of this.
