Another positive vote for the Majestic. The cooler the weather the tastier those noodle bowls are on deck! The indoor Hollywood pool club was large with great views.  Hollywood conservatory was also a wonderful indoor usually quiet space.  

On the Majestic last week my faves were:

Crown grill lamb chops  

crown grill bone broth potato.

noodle bar

International cafe chocolate chocolate chip cookies. Amazing every afternoon with a double espresso!

All the berry cobblers!

we only ate at the buffet for breakfast. I enjoyed whatever egg cup they served each day.

We are just back from Northbound 7/30-8/6.

There were two production shows. One was a mix of opera, ballet and pop and featured a “famous” soprano singer. The other was more modern, Sounds of Soul or something like that.

There was also a comedian who did several shows, a pianist who did an Elton John show as well as his own pop cover music show, and an impressionist singer who took requests from the audience. 
 

This was my first cruise so I don’t have anything to compare to.  I thought they were all fun,  but certainly nothing special.

Also, everything on the cruise was perfect, except the internet and that silly app!😂

I just did the proctored test with Rapid Trace. It was easy and stress free. I got bumped out of the room and had to login a second time and the proctor waited for me. She sent my email cert, made sure I received it and had me verify the info before she left the room. Easy Peasy!

I have an appointment with Rapid Test and Trace online for my July cruise. They have a list of home tests approved which they watch you use and then email the result immediately. $20

Thanks! I had this booked through the cruise line but it was cancelled last week. I suppose I could book directly with these people. I would prefer a regular bike over an e-bike though!

I would like to rent a bicycle to explore in Ketchikan but not finding much info online, except there is a self serve bike rental near the the docks. I love exploring on my bike at home so why not in Alaska? Has anyone done this or have any thoughts? I was thinking I could ride to Saxman Village and/or Ward Cove. Any other suggestions?

Oh thank you for this! We have a glacier hike booked for our stop in Juneau  and I was worried about the “strenuous” label. I think it will be similar to this and very doable!

And just like that….I was ticketed last night! Hmmmmmm!

I have been checking both the airline site and Princess daily. I’ll  wait until the 30 day mark before calling Princess. Meanwhile, United has just announced they are slashing more flights from their schedule. Fingers crossed they keep Anchorage to Boston!

Should I be worried?
 

My outbound ticket on Delta has been ticketed for several weeks but the return on United is still not ticketed for travel 8/6. The original booking was delta round trip but of course has changed many times. This change to United happened over a month ago so they’ve had time to ticket.
