  1. I haven't gotten an upgrade offer email for an upcoming World Europa cruise in a couple of weeks. I checked the website tool and it says my booking isn't eligible, so that's that I guess.

I'm in a YC interior and would love to have a shot at getting YC balcony. Anyone have any experience of upgrading on embarkation? Possibility of doing so and reasonableness of prices?

Looks like there is inventory available for new bookings (3x what I paid for my booking!)

  2. I think it can be interpreted two ways. "Per person" generally refers to everyone on the booking in cruises right, not "per member". I read it as silver/gold/diamond members booking a cruise receive an OBC per person ie in the cabin. 🤷🏻‍♂️ It can totally be read the other way but should really say per member.

Flirting with the possibility of having your entire booking screwed up isn't worth the 50OBC.

Yeah I agree. I have another booking 18 months away which I've only just booked and put down a deposit on, so guess want to understand what's "supposed" to happen

  4. MSC are being pretty hopeless in explaining this and I couldn't find any threads that fully confirm it!

I'm Diamond, booked over 9 months out, received the right discounts BUT only received the €50 OBC for me, not my husband. He is not a VC member. However, everywhere on the website it says the OBC credit is per person.

MSC refuse to add OBC for him, because it is per person who is a silver and above member, apparently. Not per person on everyone else in your cabin by default.

The wording is extremely confusing. What are other's experiences? Appreciate your help!

  5. Anyone know how long this takes? My final bill ended up with refundable credit left that Princess owe me, rather than me owing them anything... Nice position to be in I guess!

Asked on board and guest services just said I'd get an email link to enter my credit card information sometime...even though they already had this on file to take my money lol

Did they say if that was a permanent change or only for the cruises out of Australia? Are they making similar changes at the Royal class retreat pools as well.

It sounded like a permanent change out of Australia but tbh it was hard to get much out of them... For this ship yet alone others sorry! We won't be choosing Princess again if no adults only areas. Cheaper cruise lines offer them, it's bizarre

is the Hollywood Pool presented as an adults only area? When I sailed the Majestic in Alaska there were several families there. I loved watching the kids play with the various musical instruments in the conservatory area too. Kids at play are a simple pleasure.

Yeah, it was when we booked, along with the Conservatory... We are certainly not in cold weather in the South Pacific!

  8. Anyone else having issues last couple of days trying to make spa reservations through cruise personalizer? Trying to pay for bookings selected in the cart doesn't work... Clicking pay by card just greys out the window, clicking PayPal just brings up a spinning "loading" wheel to nowhere...

Have tried different devices and browsers...

    Hopefully not just me?

  9. Does anyone know the requirements on proof of a negative test when sailing out of Australia? We are booked on the 8 December 2022 South Pacific sailing from Sydney.

The website says the below which isn't that clear. What are we uploading to the OceanReady app as proof - given we are allowed to self test at home with a RAT? Is it just a box to tick "yes" in the app and they trust us...?!

'Guests may use a self-test (sometimes referred to as an at-home test) or rapid antigen self-tests (RATs). If in Australia, RATs are available at most major supermarkets (such as Woolworths or Coles) or chemists/pharmacies (such as Chemist Warehouse or Priceline).

    ...

What is acceptable proof of a negative COVID-19 test result?

We require all guests to complete the OceanReady steps via the MedallionClass App to simplify the pre-travel process of completing COVID-19 requirements and documentation. You will need to attest you have received a negative COVID-19 test result, provide proof of your COVID-19 vaccination status and to complete the health declaration. '
