  1. I'm thrilled that her contract was extended and I hope to meet her on my upcoming cruise. The people who think she's "just another Captain" have obviously missed the importance of her post and how she's paving a path for female officers. I'm also looking forward to hearing her announcements as I've struggled to understand the male Captains with foreign accents.

Just saw $6.99pppd upgrade (plus grat.) from Standard to Premium Drink Package for our cruise (Beyond, 29Jan2024).  Can that be right?

It lists $15 as the normal price.

I booked the $13.99 yesterday but saw the $6.99 today so I just canceled and rebooked. Great price!!!

  3. Yesterday, I could no longer see the menus on the app for my April 2024 Beyond sailing.  I checked again just now and they're still not there. Is anyone able to see the menus? Or did they move them somewhere else on the app?

    Hi friends,

Are you assigned a table in the Equinox Silhouette dining room? On other cruise lines we could select our table, and had amazingly great tables by the window with a view…watched dolphin chasing fish one afternoon!

    Thanks,

    Mary😉

We had anytime dining. On the first night my husband and I were seated in an area tucked behind a large boisterous group.  The following night we asked for a quiet location and were seated by the window. We had the same table for the duration of the cruise, although a few times we waited a few minutes for the table. Ask politely for what you need and I think it will work out.  If you have a set dining time go to the dining room on embarkation day and see where you've been assigned.  If it isn't to your liking, ask for what you want.

My invoice didn't correctly list the All Included package and my Express pass didn't have CALL (Classic Alcohol Package) and there was no history of the 3 perks in my order history. The agent fixed everything and emailed me corrected copies in about 15 minutes.

Thank you for replying.  I'm glad you were able to get your issues resolved quickly.

I had to call this morning and the recording told me wait times were 77 minutes. My actual wait time was less than 30 minutes.

Called this afternoon  1:00pm Mountain time - Celebrity recording said wait time was 25 minutes...put my speaker phone on and started cleaning. I was connected to an agent in 8 minutes 36 seconds - situation fixed in 1 minute.

Wow! Great that your wait times were low. What were your issues? What phone number did you call?

Ive found using the call back feature is usually quicker.

I used the call back feature yesterday at 10 am EST. They never called back.

This morning I had an estimated wait time of 12 minutes. Two hours later someone picked up. Transferred me to another department.  30 minute wait. Finally  got someone who linked my B2B reservations but could offer no further help related to the change from Reflection to Beyond next year. She told me to wait a week or two for my cabin assignment. She had no clue what a Deluxe Veranda (slant balcony cabin) on Reflection would change to on the Beyond.

I am little concerned because I see the room categories for my Oct 2024 cruise now on Beyond all listed.

when are they moving the rooms from Reflection and how long will it take.

I do not want to lose my forward facing Ocean view room.

plus looks like prices are lower too new bookings.

I was on hold last night for nearly 3 hours. I'm also concerned that my preferred staterooms will be gone by the time this gets sorted out. I was told I would get the same stateroom number. That's a downgrade from what I had on Reflection. I tried to link my B2B cruises so I'll get the same stateroom. No go.  I tried to choose a stateroom. No go. I tried to get the reduced price I'm seeing online. No go. I booked specialty dining on both cruises at flash sale rates. I'll get refunds but who knows if I'll see another sale. This is very frustrating. At least I have a cruise still. The poor people who got cancelations definitely have it worse.

If booked with a travel advisor, get in contact with them. They should have marked your sailing as a back to back on the reflection (And you should have received a small discount on both legs for the back to back booking) If you are marked as back to back and you had the same stateroom prior for both sailings, they should do the same for you on the Beyond.

If you booked with Celebrity directly, call them and let them know about your situation, especially if you did not get the small discount for booking a back to back. They can tie the two reservations together and hopefully belay your concerns.

Thank you. I booked both cruises online....not through a TA. I'd better call Celebrity.😬

Well good news for me! My ABC island Celebrity Reflection trip for September 7th has been officially moved to the Beyond! I say that is an upgrade for me. I know people are kinda negative about the IVs, but I really don't mind them and I do love the layout and options an Edge class ship has over the Reflection.

Here is an excerpt from my email I just received

We are excited to inform you that your upcoming Caribbean cruise aboard Celebrity Reflection, scheduled to embark out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, will now take place on the stunning Celebrity Beyond. You will now be experiencing one of our newest and most remarkable ships at no additional cost.

No action will be required on your part to sail on this modified itinerary. You will be automatically rebooked in the same stateroom type and any All Included perks or Retreat amenities you received with the purchase of your cruise will be honored, accordingly. Once the process of moving your booking is complete, you will receive a refreshed invoice via email with your new stateroom number.  We anticipate it will take us a few weeks to complete all transactions.

I received the same email. I'm worried that while they are working through cabin assignments a sale will pop up and take away some of the better cabin choices. I'm on  B2B and really want to choose my cabin location and have the same cabin on both legs.

Your ship card will probably have your table number printed on it.  We usually slip in to the dining room some time after boarding, to see what the table is like.  If it doesn't seem suitable, there will be a set time and place (probably in the dining room) to request a change.  Good luck, and have a wonderful cruise!

    Thanks!

I'll be sure to check location asap.🙂

Quick question: if I want to try to change my cabin (within my current category, just want to move a few cabins further forward) for a cruise booked via the Blue Chip offer, can I call the regular Celebrity customer service line or do I need to call Blue Chip?

I called the Blue Chip phone number yesterday to move my cabin. I think you need to call them. I was able to move up one category and there were no additional fees.

It varies, if you are referring to traditional 1st/2nd sitting dining you may request a two top but are allocated randomly a table size so might be disappointed. If you are referring to anytime flexible dining but choosing the same time each night you may have a two top every night but may have to wait longer for one to be available particularly at peak times.

    Regards John

Yes, you ought to be able to request a table for 2 at fixed dining times.  Probably best to make that request when you make your booking and then following up with the Maitre d' on embarkation day before the first dinner.  If you request second seating, your table may be a table for 4, set for 2.

Thank you for replying.  I believe I was able to secure a table for two for the early seating. Fingers crossed it holds! 🤞

We did not book the first Caribbean offer and received a new email today with the offer extended a week. We considered changing our booked cruise out for one of these since we love the Caribbean and FL, but the darn airfare to FL is awful. 😏

Good to see I'm not the only one. Sorry your airfare is high. I've been checking flights and scored Delta nonstop out of Boston for $277 RT November 30 to December 12.
