  1. Probably depends on what makes your feet happy and the weather. We prefer hiking boots for their stability and waterproof features - especially if there is rain and mud. We actually wear our hiking boots on the flight to Vancouver to reduce checked bag weight. Fun tip, if your footwear gets dirty or muddy you can leave them outside your suite door at night and the magical laundry team will tidy them up the best they can. Have a wonderful trip! Alaska and the Explorer are beautiful!
  2. Me again! What type of camera and lens ensemble did you use? How did you keep your gear relatively protected in the rains and humidity? We used our iPhone 13Pro on recent Alaska cruise, which was great for both whale and landscape photos, but of course a tropical bird is significantly smaller ๐Ÿ˜€. Amazon will of course be a trip of a lifetime, and Iโ€™m willing to invest time time and money for good gear. Thanks again for sharing your phenomenal travel journal and photos! ๐ŸŽ‰โ˜€๏ธ
  3. I stumbled upon your post quite by accident as we will be doing a similar itiniary on the Amazon as the Viking portion of your journey this December, but on Regent. Wow-thank you! I loved your insights and photos! I canโ€™t believe Iโ€™m saying this, but Iโ€™m thinking I might have to get up super-early at least one morning to look for insects and other travelers on the main deck! Thank you for your wonderful narration, insights and stories!
