I think the Epic is now sailing the Caribbean. We will be doing this cruise in March and are a bit overexcited. Hoping someone has dailies they are willing to post.

Last March, Breakaway Haven, I let the Butler and Room Steward know we were celebrating our anniversary and on which night (Butler and Steward letter). Both, at different times that day, decorated our room. Our room steward decorated our bed with two adorable towel animal swans, and paper decorations. Later that day our butler had a signs put up, decorated with rose petals, a "mood light'" thing, white table cloth set for the complimentary celebration cake (yes, it tasted terrible, but it was pretty), and she even gave a little "hand painted" looking picture as a card. We truly felt celebrated and spoiled.

Thank you everyone for the help. Looks like we will be sailing on the Epic!

Looking for advice/comparisons between these 3 ships. We have been on the Breakaway in the Haven and really liked it. I understand the Getaway is the sister ship. The reviews I've read about the Epic have been mixed.

New to all this. With Specialty dining do people usually add a tip for the chef and waiter?

When does breakfast start? I'm an "over planner" trying to plan. Is there a place where I can find times when the Haven Restaurant is open?

While it is very nice that you care, the folks who are vegetarians should choose something that THEY like, not what some stranger on an Internet forum liked. Different people have different tastes. Trust that they can choose something to their liking.
100% agree! However, recommendations can led to combinations or offering you didn't know could be. Which is why I posted here.

I have also spoken to the Executive Chef.
If not in person, just ask for his number at Guest Services and call him when you get on the ship. They are extremely helpful and accommodating.
Great to know that they are accommodating! Do you have any specific recommendations for something you really liked?

We were on the joy. I did list I was a vegetarian before boarding. The first night in the main dining room the assistant maitre d came to our table and said if I needed any special meals besides what was on the menu to let him know. If I went to a special restaurant with the people I was traveling with I could order something special 24 hours in advance. He checked with me every night about the menu.
So just ask for the assistant maitre d if you need any special meals
Thank you. I will make sure vegetarians are listed pre-boarding. As a vegetarian- is there anything you really liked? or recommend?

You can find the specialty dining menu options on the NCL website.

Most of these menus have vegetarian dishes listed.
Here's another source for menus. This isn't specific to the Breakaway or to any specific cruise but it should give you ideas on what might be available.

I'm not vegetarian so I cannot give advice on specific vegetarian choices.
Thank you. This is a great start.

Regarding MDR meal requests - We are vegetarian (no fish) so the Haven menu is very limited but, on the Breakaway (March 2023), the Maitre d met with me in the morning (or once the night before) and we could order from the MDR menu to be served in Haven. That said the Haven food was so much better we often did A LOT of Haven sides as our meal.
