  1. Hello, I greatly appreciate all of the advice that I have gotten from the threads here. We are about 3 weeks out from our cruise and I am a bit overwhelmed. I think I may answer my own question in a convoluted way, but would love confirmation. My go to sandals in the summer are black leather flip-flop style. I would never wear them to the beach or a pool. If I understand the footwear requirements correctly, it is the rubber flip flops that are not allowed in dining venues, so these would be ok? Thank you in advance.

  2. Thank you for all the great information. We are on the 8/27 sailing. My thinking is: Split, Kotor, and Dubrovnik we will do on our own. It looks like it will be crowded with other ships in Olympia and Athens, so we will do a tour through NCL, just haven't decided and am running out of time. (Sorry, I don't know the name of the website that posts what ships are in port, I found it here a while back). I am excited and apprehensive at the same time. It is our first cruise in 11 years and we are traveling with two teens.

  3. Hi, I am traveling over the summer with family. When I booked we received the dining, drinks etc. including a $50 credit if we booked an excursion through them. I logged into NCL tonight and it has disappeared. I did print out the original confirmation and it is there. I guess I need to call and see why they retracted this. I wasn't going to book through them except in the most crowded ports. Just a little surprised.

  4. Just curious, these suites are connecting? I have only been able to find a 2bd that connects to a mini suite.

Yes, they are forward facing. A category SE connecting to a category SB. I think one is called and owners suite and the other is called a penthouse suite.

Oh dear, I just realize I originally posted the wrong ship. We are on the Star not the Sun. My apologies.

  5. Hello, we are traveling on the Sun this summer with family. We have adjoining suites. The plan is to use the larger one as the "hang out" space. As I understand it, each suite will receive a treat towards the end of the day. I'm guessing the serving size is based on the number of people in the room. Is it ok to ask the Butler to combine the treat onto one plate/tray and only place it in the larger suite? I am not suggesting this to minimize the tip, it just seems silly to have them set up two different places when everything will most likely end up in the larger living room. Thank you.
