Do you have more info on that bid promotion?
That was just what it said when I went to bid. I did it the first day we could; maybe that’s why?

I was notified today, 8/9, that we were upgraded from Ocean View to Concierge Class on the Celebrity infinity sailing on 8/19 from Athens. We bid slightly more than the minimum, $415 American for a minimum $400 bid. Veranda and Premium Deluxe Veranda also had $400 minimum (also bid $415). Aqua Class was $650 minimum. Concierge is sold out on the website. Very excited to have a balcony and be higher up on the ship (from deck 2 to deck 9)!
Turns out, because they had a 50% bid promotion, $415 was the price for both of us! Ended up $437 with taxes.

Hi!
I will be on the Regal Princess on the 19th and have a few questions.
1. Which is more comfortable, the bunk bed or the sofa bed?
2. Do the regular cabins have separate shampoo and conditioner?
3. Does the ship have coca-cola freestyle? I read some ships do.
Thank you!

We were charged what we bid, so instead of paying $437 each, we just paid $437 ($415 bid plus tax). My theory is that the minimum bid was actually $200 but with the 50%, it acted like we bid twice that. Either that or when we won the bid, we got 50% off the final price. Either way, a very cheap way to go up two full categories.
