  1. That's ok.....I'm still jealous!:) Six months is such a long time!

We have stayed here several times pre-cruise and absolutely love it. If you rise early, because you are so excited, around 5:30 AM you can watch the parade of ships come into the port. This is great if you are higher up on the side facing the port or from the ground( not as panoramic) from the ground behind a chain link fence. Very cool way to start the cruise.

  2. I also just booked the San Pedro Crowne Plaza using Priceline (night of April 6): $65 plus taxes/fees. WooHoo!

Would you mind giving the parameters for bidding for the Crowne Plaza? I think it is the one on Hotwire that is 83$ and shows 6 amenities but how can I figure out Priceline? Stars??? Only used Hotwire so far. Would love to try Priceline but a bit timid as to getting something else I might not want. Thanks

  3. Supershuttle offers the service from the pier to Disneyland is $48 for the first adult, $9 each for any others.

I would book a reservation as most of the shuttles waiting at the port will be going to LAX.

    PrimeTime would also offer this.

When you make the reservation or look for a quote, the Port is an Airport--so you are going from an Airport--keep scrolling down in the list and you will find the Ports and also the train stations.

Thanks so much! I knew there had to be a way. I will contact both and see what I come up with.

  4. Bid 4 star Waterfront location. From readings here on Search, it is almost always Westin. The only other 4 star is Seaport. Have been monitoring priceline bids and getting $150 bids accepted so thought I would try a bit lower and WOW!!!!! Got it. Just got another email from Priceline with a winning bid of $137/night. Called Westin to make sure it went through and Yes- we are booked. Hope this helps.

  5. You might want to try Summerfield Suites South or Hyatt Place South. Queen/king beds, airport to hotel shuttle, hotel to port shuttle(not free) and complimentary breakfast. Across the street from outdoor mall, restaurants and shops. Hotwire has both. Good luck.

  6. Have posted this on a separate thread but no takers, sooooo, does anyone know if water taxi is seasonal? We have enjoyed it before but never this late in April. Web site has 2009 info. Called and was told they don't have a clue for 2011 yet. Trying to choose a hotel and wonder if water taxi stop is going to be of any good? Thanks for any help.

  7. Keith-during our search we looked at ValueTrips.com and the Hyatt Place North ascame up as cheap, try that one. We booked thru Hotwire for $59 at the Summerfield Suites Airport South. That was the best rate around. I understand a huge mall across street and lots of places to eat there too. Give it a try.

  8. We switched from Embassy Suites to a deal on Hotwire, as mentioned above, Thankyou!!! Saved lots of $$$. Now at Summerfield Suites Airport South. Never been in this area before. Will not have a car and so, need to know if there is anywhere really close for dinner. Even a fast food place will do. Any info on the hotel? Seems to be new and not many reviews found. It was just too great a deal to pass by-$72 total 1 night. Thanks for any help you can give us.

  9. I've had dinner at the hotel at 3030 and it is really good, and my friend stays in this hotel and loves it. It is set back a couple of blocks from the main road which makes walking places quite a bit of a walk. The closest water taxi stop is just south of Bahia Mar hotel, behind the fire station. It's under a mile walk.

Thank you very much for your help. You are great!

  10. Hi Royalcruz- We decided on 2 night post cruise at the Marriott Harbor Beach. What do you know about this one other than the beautiful ocean view room??? Anywhere near water taxi? Since we are 10 months out perhaps the price will drop but we got a pretty good package with $50 daily resort credit. You are always soooo helpful! Glad you are here.

  11. Mdmomof7, we stayed at the Hilto Marina in April and paid less than Embassy Suites for a balcony overlooking the port! We enjoyed it so much. It is a very long walk to any other restaurant however. We did do Bimini Boatyard which was great and next door to the Rennaissance. About 15 min to walk. There is also a Walgreens about 5 minutes away. The Hilton deal with breakfast is a good value. Rather expensive without. The pool and grounds are aboslutely stunning and the Yahts are great too. Water Taxi stops right there.

  12. HELP!!! Trying to decide between Comfort Inn on Stirling or Comfort Suites on Federal Highway. We won't have a car and would like dinner to not be a far walk(more than 3 blocks), Also would like to get beer to take on ship. Which would you say is best?

    Thanks
