The cruise ends in Rome and starts in Venice (well really Ravena) have gone to out islands too

We had rented an apartment in Venice some years ago prior to a cruise. It was great staying in the city after the tourists left for the day. We also had a three day pass for the vaperreto  (spelling?) looking for something different 

One day was removed from itinerary as Silver Whisper will be in dry dock. Thinking of spending another day in Venice. I have time there before just thinking what to do. Thoughts?
