So sorry you're experiencing this!!! Thoughts and prayers to everyone on board!!

Hey, Curtis! Thank you very much for finishing your review. It was awesome, as always. I loved seeing your pictures, reading your "dailies," and living vicariously through you.
I do know how time intensive the reviews are and appreciate the hours and hours you've spent sharing your family cruises with us. THANK YOU!!! As much as I will miss them, I do understand, and, as much as I hate to say it, I haven't written a review for the past few cruises my family has taken. It is LIBERATING in some ways! Maybe this will change as time moves on.... I hope so.
Thanks again!!
Michele
PS Did you buy that boat?!!!!!
PPS Your ice cream cones look much more photo friendly and less like dog poo this time around.... you're really getting there!!!
PPPS LOVE Mo5aic!!! We've seen them twice. SUCH TALENT!

Just found this thread - what a find! My husband and I are considering a trip to Alaska; your photos and commentary are making our decision much easier! Looking forward to more... :)

Great start! Carnival is on my short list of cruises to go on... especially their newer ships. Can't wait to read more!

Thinking of and praying for you guys. I know I said it on Facebook, but I always find it helps to know that people are thinking of me during the difficult times in life.

I know, I know. Unfortunately, we have Christmas shopping in the AM, a birthday party in the afternoon and a Christmas party in the evening, so hopefully once I get home tonight I can get some more up.
December truly is the hardest time to do a review ;)
Yes, it is! No worries and no rush. Spending time with your beautiful family should always come first. :)

Good morning! It is currently 9:30am, three hours after Keith's waking hour. Time to get posting, Curtis! ;)

Great prelude, Curtis! The family and I are boarding Oasis in February; your review is helping create some EXCITEMENT! :D
Sweet dream and sleeping in to Keith...

Ugh! WOULD YOU HURRY UP ALREADY?!?!?!!!!!!
:)
Looking forward to another Bionic review, Curtis!

Oh no, what happened to the pictures?!
I have heard of Geneva, my mom and Jeff were actually up there today!! We go up there occasionally to go to the Waterloo Outlets. Geneva is beautiful!
Broken links, and I can't go back and change them. Just gives me motivation to write another review. :-)
Geneva is the closest town the the small town I grew up in. The area is a special place for me.
I loved your all access tour! Great pictures. It always amazes me that the behind the scenes is so complex, but virtually seamless to us cruisers.

Hey, I remember reading your review of the Allure! Have you ever heard of Corning? Glad to see you here, thanks!!
Thanks for reading my review! It was so much nicer before the images were removed. Oh well!
Yes, I've heard of Corning. :-) Have you heard of Geneva?

Great review! Love the pictures and the details. BTW, I am originally from the Finger Lakes region. :-)
Can't wait to read more!

I found this review from a Cruise Critic link on Facebook - so glad I stopped by to look and your pictures and read your thoughts. I've only cruised on Royal Caribbean, but I've entertained Carnival for a while now. (Need more time and money to make all my plans a reality! LOL) The ship looks nice, and I'm adding it to my list of "wanna-do's." By the way, how were the crowds/crowd flow?
Thanks for taking the time to write!

Booked a cruise for March several months ago specifically for this package for my 5yr old daughter. Was told that the package could not be ordered until final payment had been made, space would be limited and canceled if the minimum particapant requirement was not met.
We paid for the cruise early so as the daughter would not be left out due to a "sold out" situation.
We are still waiting to even order the package as of today. We call every other day and get the same response " a date to order this has not been established yet. Please call back"
Do not understand the reasoning behind telling us that the cruise had to be completely paid for before you can order this package when it can still not be ordered now. :(
If anyone has successfully ordered this please post.
I don't know for sure, but I'm guessing that they will put it online when it's available for booking. At least, if it's like beverage, dining, and excursions. Unfortunately, Royal isn't always prompt making things available for online booking. Sometimes you can book early (MONTHS before final payment due date), and other times they cut it close. Keep calling to be on the safe side.

Here is the link to a cruiser who's daughter had the experience during the "test" of the program. I hope it helps!
Thanks for posting this link! I was on my phone during my OP and didn't have the time to find it. This is why Cruise Critic members are so great!
-
I'm sure you've read the ads that say this package will be available starting in January 2013, right? How would you expect anyone to have experience with it?
Actually, several girls have tried this. Royal did a market study a while back, and there was at least one thread reviewing the program.
OP, please do a search and include the Family Boards in your search selection. You should be able to find the review with a little determination.

Thanks so much for taking the TIME and EFFORT writing this review and sharing your photographs with us. I understand how much time these reviews take, and I applaud your work! This is a great resource for those planning a trip on an Oasis class ship, and so great to pass along some time dreaming about cruising. :)
I've sailed on Allure twice, and think she is a beautiful ship with so many opportunities for memory making. Even though she isn't perfect, we had wonderful times and love her! We've booked Oasis for 2014 - can't wait to compare the two (I'm especially looking forward to comparing the shows). Anyhooo... your review really brought back some magical memories. It was so much fun living vicariously through you and re-living our experience (and dreaming about our upcoming one!). THANK YOU!

Goodness 8 inches of snow?! I'm sure you handled it like pros out there though. Lucky you get to sail the Liberty in a few weeks! I love that ship. Hoping you'll do a review when you get back? ;):D
We don't normally get much snow where I live, but I'm originally from Upstate NY and know all about lake effect snow! We survived quite well. ;)
I haven't been on Liberty, but I loved Freedom! Probably my favorite class ship - along with Oasis Class. I may write a review... we shall see!

Hi Michele! How's the weather in your neck of the woods? I hope all is well. I didn't even notice the typo until you mentioned it. Whoops!
COLD! Above freezing, but we received 8 inches of snow on Monday night/Tuesday. We had fun though - made 2 huge snowmen and a snowdog (courtesy of my middle child). :) It's all melted now, and I'm ready for spring. LOL Thankfully, our cruise is in just under 2 weeks!
Great pictures and review... I don't want it to end.

OMG, we loved the comedy show! BTW, I didn't notice when I was onboard, but, from your picture, they spelled "you're" wrong.
-
Really enjoying your review! I'm looking forward to your thoughts/comparisons about Allure and Oasis. I've been on Allure twice, but I'm not sold that I need to try Oasis. Your thoughts?

I'm not sure whether to congratulate you on your pregnancy or send my condolences for the loss of your grandmother, but my heart is with you on both. I hope you're doing well with your pregnancy and healing from your loss. <3
Looking forward to reading more about your Allure cruise - hoping to relive one of the best vacations I've ever had!

YAY! Welcome back, Trainman!

I suspect that this thread may set a record for the longest "Live Report" here on the RCI Board.
Several of my past "Live Reports" have gone well over 100,000 views for 7 night cruises.
It is up to you CC'ers to check in often and maybe we can go above one half million views by the time Judith and I debark on Nov 2nd!
Found this thread today, Trainman - yippee!!! I'll be one of your followers helping you reach that half million goal. :)
I brought a bunch of zip lock bags to preserve important things for later consumption in our cabin. What a GREAT idea!!! So simple, especially when I pack my kids along with me. Heck, who am I kidding? I love cookies too!

I use Marva Shaw and her son Javia with KnowJamaica tours almost exclusively when I go to Jamaica. They are attentive to detail, excellent communicators, proud to show you their country, and become friends. Truly excellent all around.
Please let them know Michele says hello!
