  1. Thanks a lot! Last November we were on the Dawn and our favourite place was the wine bar ( that was serving wines and champagne only )for its atmosphere and " intimacy"..

I am picturing ( or hoping) the champagne bar on the SUN would be the same .. and I can enjoy a glass of wine ( included in the FAS 😁)

  2. I was last November on the Dawn and needed ( preferred) to print my visa for Saudi..I went to the internet cafe ( I had internet package) but the printers were out of service

I then went to the guest service, sent them the files as attachments to an email and they printed them for me at no cost

Sorry for the delay.  Alas, I can't speak for all cabins, but I still have transporter tube/shower curtain that sticks to various body parts in an uncomfortable way.

Thanks for the info.. enjoy your cruise

  4. Last November I upgraded my FAS internet package to unlimited ( no streaming) for 300 euro ( 19 night cruise) on the NCL Dawn and was able to log off and log on with my business phone..

I am not sure if I was able to do so because my husband had internet as well ( minutes part of the FAS promotion)

So technically I wasn't sharing it with anyone else..

  5. Any " spoiler" regarding any works in the staterooms? ( I am hoping they are getting rid the shower curtains)😇

Also . I noticed that the capacity on their website has been reduced to a bit south of 1900 although ( from the plan of decks) it seems they are adding a new area?

  6. I take Sea days as a way to recharge.. and slow down..

During my last cruise they were very needed after few days of early rises..

I also enjoy reading a book and partaking in all the games and quizes..

Ps: I believe we are on the same cruise (i saw you in the roll call..) so..if you are ever bored, come by for a chat 😊

Not sure what a GET tax is, but in the US (and possibly elsewhere) when your ship is in port or within the territorial waters, you likely will find sales tax added to any purchase you make on board.  It varies from one city or state to another, perhaps as low as 5%, but probably more like 10% or more.  Although you purchased your beverage plan prior to the cruise, if a beverage is actually served to you while within the port's jurisdiction, it usually is considered to be a transaction subject to the tax.  It normally adds less than a dollar to the price of your drink.  As they say, you can't fight city hall, so if you can't wait until you're out of port for a drink, expect to pay a bit of sales tax.

Thanks.. this means I shall expect the same in Alaska?

  8. Hello everyone, a European cruiser here so apologies but I am not familiar with US taxes 😇 later this year I will be on a Cruise to Alaska and Hawaii ( embark in Vancouver in case this makes a difference) . As part of a promotion we have the drink and dining packages... I was wondering.. will the GET tax be added to every transaction or is it already covered?

Exactly where/ when does it apply?

    Thanks a lot!
