Thanks for the tips. If we were to do it we were planning to go first thing, but now leaning towards just hiring a car and driving ourselves to Ravello/Amalfi/Positano/Sorrento. Even though we've done that before, there are new places we want to try since our last visit. And with MSC Grandioso (5000-6000 passengers) and RC Odyssey OTS (4500-5000 passengers) in port the same day, we expect it to be crowded no matter where we go. 😉

Thanks! We're more DIYers so grabbing the ferry ourselves isn't an issue, e mi parli italiano, un poco. More concerned with crowds as there will be 2 mega-ships in port the same day in addition to our more modest one, though still big (Celebrity Beyond)
