My wife and I had the exact the thought when we saw the promotion. Padgett wants to market Princess to passengers who sail once a year and drink.
I have not been impressed with Padgett who seems to be re-branding Princess into his own version of Royal Caribbean with mega ships, drink packages, and more kids onboard. Not a surprise since they promoted a Disney guy to run a cruise line.
After 256 days on Princess my wife and I have decided look at Windstar, Seabourn, Holland America, etc.
