  1. My family and I will have enough points to turn Emerald in the middle of our next cruise. Will we be considered Emerald half way through the cruise or will we have to wait to our next cruise to be Emerald? Just curious.

    next cruise as points are not added until your return home

  2. In the letter from Michael Bayley that is on the Crown and Anchor's FB page there is an email address you can use to contact a special "solutions team" directly. I wrote to them on Friday, got stock reply today that promised solutions/answers to my questions with in 48 to 72 hours. We shall see what happens...but it really is a mess and that mess encourages me to not book with RCCL again going forward.

    i got two emails two days a part both promising things would be fixed in 7 working days not sure if that was from date of the email or date they started messing up the website

  3. Glad that some of you can get on line. I’ve changed my password at least 20 times, received confirmation that my password was changed, but still can’t get in. I just called and spoke with a supervisor who said it may be 2 weeks until the problems ares solved and everyone is able to log in.

     

    No other corporation works like this. I worked for a major brokerage and international bank and if we had an upgrade that didn’t work, we’d immediately back it out and go to the previous site.

     

    i had this problem then i realised the issue was I now need to sign in using my email address not my username even although it says username/email. Hope that works for you.

  4. 4 people cannot be booked into a 3 berth cabin royal system wouldn't allow it for a start. What she means by a downgrade I assume is that you would be moving to lower or less central part of the deck. I still cannot understand how 4 people can book into a 3 berth cabin it is just not possible i would recheck your paperwork and make sure all passengers are on the booking

  5. we are taking my sisters stepdaughter on a cruise and it was very difficult to get an answer from Royal Caribbean about what documents are needed to take her on the cruise with us. We now have a form issued by the Dutch ministry of Justice and security which we filled in. No where on that form it is mentioned that we need to have it notarized and I am not even sure that we can have that done in the Netherlands. We have copies of all passports and a birth certificate, so we hope we have everything in order.

     

     

    I'm not exactly sure what this is?? Is it a letter thats been issued by a court or similar authority?? If so that should be sufficient. If not Europe laws are different and RCI requirements are different if your travelling from a European port and the ship is staying in Europe. It needs to be stamped by a solicitor who is confirming that they have witnessed the parent or guardian giving permission this is slightly different from being notrized as not all European countries do this. If however your travelling to America you may have serious issues if your letters not Notorized to even enter the country as its not just an RCI policy its law its to help stop child trafficking

     

    Is your sister travelling with you and if so has she officially adopted her step daughter. If she has adoption certificate and birth certificate along with passport should be sufficient if your travel in Europe as RCI only needs the permission of one parent in this case your sister.

  6. Well that just stinks. Lol! We are cruising again in June. The hubby and I don't plan on getting a drink pkg because we will take advantage of the DL and the free drink vouchers. My 13 yr old daughter would like to have the specialty coffee pkg. She has braces on so she can't have soda and doesn't want to get stuck drinking water all week. We also have my son, two friends and their daughter in our cabin as well. I sure hope they don't want it either because we don't want to spend the extra money. Wondering if they will make an exception for my daughter. I'm sure the answer is no, but never hurts to ask.

  7. I have never seen any service animals on any of our 45 cruises the vast majority of which were in European waters.

    I have been flying for 50 years and also have never seen any service animals on any flight.

    I believe British quarantine laws are very strict against Rabies which is not in Britain and any animals are kept in the airplanes hold.

     

     

    There was one on my last cruise out of the uk first one ive ever saw. As long as the dog has its own passport, insurance has all its jags, has rabies and other disease free certificates and is travelling to other rabies free destinations in this case Norway and the dog is a registered assistance dog then it can travel. In this case he was guide dog for a visually impaired passenger. He was lovely actually I sat in Awe at him walking up and down the stairs in the show lounge every evening he was amazing.

  8. Most disgusting was in buffet. it was actually my young niece who was about 7 who spotted her. A woman with her hand down her trousers scratching at her backside. My niece was so disgusted that everyone in the line heard her say that lady is scratching her bottom next to the food and then pointed at her.

     

    On Navigator last year I was waiting to get in the lift with my elderly mother and another passenger with a scooter was also waiting we were on the top deck so had been waiting quite some time for the lift when a member of staff pushing a large piece of equipment (I should say he was from the film crew that was filming not the usual ship crew ) walked up and when the lift came he tried to get in the lift before us and more shockingly the person with the scooter. He couldn't get in however as there where already 3 people in the lift who had got in the lift as it was coming up. BUt he wasn't happy to have to wait and actually gave the attitude that we should all get out again and wait so he could get in.

    I'm using chrome and its working for me and the sale is still showing not that it helps you any but just so you know they haven't taken it down. Can you try another browser perhaps that will work i find often if one browser doesn't work another does even on same computer
