Does anyone know the name of the hotel that is walking distance from the ship that offers a day pass? It has a man made beach with an infinity pool. I was just there a few months ago but forgot the name.  Renaissance maybe???

S3 cabins are suppsedly entry level to suite class.  I disagree, on Edge the S3's on Magic Carpet track are not impeded in anyway, the MC does not stop in front of any suite.  S3's rooms are on average 300 SF plus the balcony is 102 SF, and if you can get one of the "end" suites you also have a large window with either and aft of forward view large window, both far larger than S2 or S1.  I don't know exact reason for this but I suspect it may be because of location or proximity to other ship ammeneties.  ANyway, I absolutely loved it, MC NEVER once impeded anything and I loved it so much I have the same booked on Apex for a B2B, 27 days in May 2021.  

Does the bed face the ocean and does the mirror open up into the room to view the ocean .

Is the only size difference with the S2 and S1vs the S3 being the balcony but the staterooms itself all the same square footage size?  Many Thanks

Your actual test "MUST" be done under the eye of a certified health person that can verify for you with some form of a negative result printed or scanned code.  That's why it states "Do Not Open Until Instructed To Do So" or it will be considered invalid.  Not sure who would do this for you other than where you got it from (your Health Department?).  The ones that you buy online are set up to do with a teldoc or telmed person and put into their system (how actually IDK). 

Hey All.....since everyone now must be vaccinated in order to sail I wonder if they'll set up the Rapid Antigen Test at the ports?  Would really help those that have the fear of test results with the PCR returning back in time.  Also for those that don't have a site that offers the Rapid Antigen Test,  the port would be a help.  Although if they do that, I guess the line would be insane.  IDK  ~ any thoughts on this?

We are sailing on the Celebrity Reflection this coming March.  We are trying to find a small private fishing tour in St. Lucia.  Has anyone done this and if so, can you share your experience and information as to whom you went with, the cost, and any other good info. would be greatly appreciated.

Without a doubt!  We were there last summer and the Dutch side was almost fully operational so it can only be more so now.  Enjoy 😊 

I just got off the phone with Celebrity and they said nothing had changed, no updates, no notices of any change.  This came from a supervisor.  I sure that you're tight and they weren't informed.

We sail on the 16th and Punta Cana is on our itinerary.  We would LOVE for it to be changed to Tortola.

Hubby said that he read that the Equinox will be doing a port stop on Tortola instead of Punta Cana b/c of an earthquake a few days ago. Anyone know if this is legit?  We are sailing on the Equinox next month and would be thrilled if this would be true for our week.

Is the walk from terminal to Great Bay beach safe? As in a walkable sidewalk that can accomodate a stroller?

Yes, the jet ski rentals and banana boat rides are right next to the HH. Can't miss them.

The concern is the overflow of the sewage water from the retention pond. This has been an ongoing concern ( especially after rain) and although I have read of plans of sending the water via drainage tubes farther out to sea this has not been done yet.

Again I personally haven't seen or witnessed anything if concern no more so than Little Divi Bay, Simpson Bay, Oystet Bay, etc..... if it were too dangerous to swim in, I would think that some legal honcho would be sure not to put the tourist at risk. After all, the island and its people Troy I. Tourist dollars / Just so you know, I have heard about this water concern for several years now but also have not heard of anyone getting sick, or deathly ill from being in it. If it worries one then they might need to go elsewhere. This bus how I feel about New York City especially at night, therefore I don't go 👍

The tours and prices look to be almost identical. Has anyone done both? Anyone had good or bad experiences with Bob or Alan?

I believe Captain Alan goes out over by Oyster Bay Resort and Captain Bob is close to the port. With that being said, please know that Captain Bob is the middle man for those like Billy Bones and gets a cut. He does not own any boats from what I have been told. We did his tours in the past, had a great time (LOVED the captain that went on his own soon after not needing to give Bob a cut for basically nothing but collecting money) and then found out that he was bad mouthing his competitors. Not good business practice in my opinion. After Irma, we went out again with him but he failed to mention that the hot lunch was not going to be had due to the hurricane. Mind you that this was after he talked smack about a competitor that served sandwiches vs. grilled mahi, chicken, or ribs. Now he's doing the same thing. It was fine but very misleading... This was strike two for him and now we've simply decided to take our business elsewhere. The ones that actually drive the boat are the ones that are doing the work and they are fine. He just gets the glory off of the backs of others.

There is a hotel called Holland House that has a nice restaurant on the beach. They are accepting of cruisers who want to sit on their beach and order beer, etc. The water quality, however, is reported to be more polluted here than other areas due to waste treatment runoff from a nearby marsh.

We swim in that water all the time when visiting and not once have we had an issue. We'll be there this month staying at the HH and have no worries about the water what so ever....

If one is up and able to walk you can easily save $7 a person. It's all sidewalk and less than a mile. Very easy to do but if you are lugging a lot of personal stuff you might be better off with ferry. BTW: By the time they fill up the ferry, float over, and then disembark, you are there no quicker than if you walked. Just saying as we do this all the time. We're actually staying at the HH this month for a week. We love it there.

Absolutely LOVE the Holland House. We were there back in March and everything is up and running. We're actually going to be staying at the Holland House for a week coming up shortly for us. We also cruise 3/4 times a year so this should tell you something in regards to HH. We have no problem going in the water either. I'm not sure why the concern. It's clear as can be and have never seen anything that would stop us from going in other than maybe the jet skis. They cause waves...lol.... Any questions prior to us leaving just ask away....
