I was wondering the same thing. Is there really very many whales left by Bar Harbor around September 22? I've seen whales in Alaska and would like to take the Holland America's tour but I don't want to waste money either.

Pick up the Visitor Center's walking tour and do it yourself. I've walked it three times and it's worth walking it via the map. I agree with a previous post. Have a cab drop you off at Constitution. There are shops along the way if you need to stop and get coffee or rest a minute. Just do a little studying about the highlights along the way prior to your trip. You'll save yourself a lot of money and enjoy the easier pace.

I've been to Halifax three times. I would really recommend the Hop-on-Hop-Off bus. The Citadel is within walking distance of the pier. It's a great place to stop. Peggy's Cove to me is way to much of a tourist trap if you've been to other lighthouses. The Maritime Museum which is within walking distance is also very good. If it's raining the Hop-on-Hop-Off bus is a really good idea. There's also a coffee shop on the way to the Citadel, if it gets cold.

The snorkeling excursions we have been on had the people who run the excursions bring food for the fish.
Sting Rays in Grand Cayman and Nassau.
We've seen many people at the private cruise islands bring breakfast for the fish.
Should you, probably not - do people bring food - all the time.

This is our first trip to Ireland and would love the Glens but people are saying to visit the Museum. I've seen the Maritime Museum in Halifax which has some Titan displays. I know the rates on the Museum but just asking other people their points of view.
