  1. We were on the ship yesterday in Ketchikan- docked at Berth 3 right in town.  We didn't hear about the possibility of a tender.  It was all perfect.  As long- time Cunarders (platinum) who have never cruised with any other cruise line,  we LOVED this ship and had a BRILLIANT time.  Well done to Holland & America. We will definitely use your services again.  Thanks for a great cruise on such a light,  bright,  modern ship.

  2. Yes,  me too. 1969 with Dursley C.of E. Primary school,  Gloucestershire. Corunna, Lisbon,  Gib. and some place in N. Africa.

Dreadful food, a bit scary and,  sadly,  I was too young to appreciate what an amazing adventure it was - especially in the casbah - anyone tell me where that was in N.Africa? I think I've still got the plastic folder with my school-work so I guess I can find it there.

  3. I know I'm in the minority but I would prefer being able to load my cruise card onto my phone e.g. via Google wallet, so I could pay for a coffee through that.  Furthermore,  similarly to our house burglar alarm automatically disarming,  I'd enjoy having my stateroom door being Bluetooth-enabled so it unlocks as I get near - and howabout the facility to  whisper, "Queen's Grill," into my phone as I approach the lift to avoid any embarrassment! However, I quite understand traditionalists who'd rather have a big key and a wad of cash - we're all different and that is what makes us interesting.

  4. Yes,  we always take photos in advance and yes,  always have them re-done at check in.  On a 2022 Cunard cruise,  the check- on agent,  as usual,  re-did our photos.  Interestingly,  a few days later,  when we were disembarking on a port-day, and I was bleeping my cruise card,  I noticed I had aged 10 years,  had doubled in weight and lost all my hair. IT WASN'T MY PHOTO! Did it make any difference to my getting on and off the ship in ports? No, of course not!

Re the 5.15pm 'Senior officers party',  it might be wise to double check with 'Voyage Sales' or Concierge  (don't waste time at the Pursers desk) to confirm if there is a later reception at 7.15pm .

Last month there were two, my  travel companion friends received 5.15pm and I received 7.15pm , we were all dining at 8.15pm .

That's useful to know.  Thank you.  (We had a similar experience the other day with different dates for the Wine Tasting event - which,  in my opinion,  is a pale shadow of what it was in the QE2 years!).
