They sent out corrections Starts Oct 14/24!

Yep! Just got mine. Works best for me but what a bummer for folks that were truly getting an upgrade

I am wondering if those who got the email notice, who are sailing before the change is fully implemented, are those who are booked into Suites.   True, it might not give them any real benefit. (unless they had not booked a package, and now the upgrade notice does, actually, give them the package - do we know that for sure????   Can they cancel the package they paid for???  Does their booking show two packages?)

My email states in the FAQ that I am not getting the premier package benefit. I am booked for June of this year. For me it just means more people in the sanctuary and signature restaurant. I had signature benefits before the change.

I don't normal sail Princess, wanted to try the new ship within a ship concept.  Are they always this consistent at being horribly inconsistent?

Also I think it’s just the new ship/Sun bc others in my roll call have been able to make reservations for their other dates/ships well in advance. This is the only cruise I have booked.

No idea. I haven’t sailed them in 15 years. I’m honestly still very excited and will just let the concierge make my reservations I suppose.

What category had that person on FB booked?  Was it a suite???

Is Princess sending out notices. (in error) on non-suite bookings before October 14???

That kind of 'error' would not be surprising, actually.

I was already booked in a suite and received an email saying I was “upgraded”  It isn’t an upgrade for me as I had already booked a suite and it doesn’t include the premiere package (which I had also already booked). I’m not the poster from FB but I did receive the email. I sail June 1st, 2024

So on fb, someone on May - SUN got the Upgrade notice.

I'm going June 1st and I received the notice. The verbiage about Oct is so confusing.

I got an email a few moments ago announcing the "complementary upgrade" to sanctuary collection with all the listed benefits including the premier but no mention of the premier perk not being included in prior bookings (as mentioned in other press releases) which makes me wonder if they are throwing that at suite level users as an offset/perk, if its an oversight of the email or if its just because i already had it added to guest 1 and 2.

My situation is the exact same as yours--sky suite with guests one and two already having bought the Premier Package. Coincidentally, I booked the 3rd passenger's Premier package just last night--ha! However, I also noticed that they didn't mention that the Premiere Package wouldn't be included for those having already booked. I did a little further investigating in the email that I also received about the "upgrade" and it IS listed in the FAQ section if you keep scrolling. It says that the Premiere is not included for those already booked. Hope this helps!

Instead it seems that none of this was considered.  The sun deck as designed would never accommodate all (or whatever percentage used in their calculations) suite passengers so they moved quickly to designate the Sanctuary for suite passengers too.  Looking at the pictures of the lounge I wondered about its original capacity.  The new Signature designation looks like it is doubling the number of passengers.

Yes, this could be an even bigger issue--space in the Sanctuary. I know there was already a question on space to begin with.

I hope you are right but on the new Signature Collection web page (https://www.princess.com/en-us/ships-and-experience/onboard-experience/sanctuary-collection) it states

    Your own private restaurant

Reserved exclusively for Sanctuary CollectionSM guests. Enjoy a custom chef’s menu and dedicated waitstaff and dining room. No reservations needed and no waiting — elevated dining is ready whenever you are.

Very curious about how they will handle the extra diners and if it will be an issue.

  10. Thank you for your time explaining the details! We are in a Sky Suite to celebrate our daughter's high school graduation so I love that the hosts mentioned the outstanding service and that your suite experience was incredible. We have only sailed Princess one other time and it was 15 years ago. We've probably only been on 8 cruises with 4 of those being with Disney. Looking forward to your continued reviews! Btw, we've also booked Spellbound. Can't wait and thanks again!

So we proceed through the black door and enter the bar area.  It’s a normal bar area (fully decorated in the magic theme) with plenty of tables to sit.  There are waiters who bring the special drink menu but there is also a full bar so you can order any drink you want including any alcohol-free things that you would like.  The specialty drinks are loaded with alcohol so I don’t think there is any way to make them virgin style.

We spent around 30 minutes in the bar area which gave us time to have a bathroom break and consume a few cocktails.  We did notice that there were people in the bar area that weren’t with us at dinner.  That’s when I found out that once the show is over, you can hang out there until the bar closes at midnight!  So these other people were at the early show and still here having more cocktails.  All the drinks are free while in Spellbound and don’t go towards your drink package maximum. So some of these people have been here for a while. 😊  That helps with those that need to justify the $150 per person charge of Spellbound.

After about 30 minutes they called us into the room where the magic happens.  It’s a small intimate space that only holds a maximum of 30 people.  The show is very interactive with plenty of laughs.  I am still amazed at some of the magic that we saw.

Not sure how long the show was because I was so immersed in it that time flew by.  After the show, the magician led us back to the bar where we had another round(s) of cocktails and hung out with our new friends we met over dinner.  The magician even came over to us and we talked with him for a while.

It was truly a wonderful experience and I completely forgot that I was even on a ship.

Let me know if you have other questions but again, I am not going to reveal too much as I want you all to experience it for yourself.  I highly recommend it.

Thank you so much! We purchased tickets for our cruise in June and I love hearing your report!

And no one has been able to get definitively answer whether kids in suites are allowed or if it solely adults only - given it's now Suites first and a suite perk, denying the suite kids would be odd... Waiting on an actual definitive answer on that one.. most people say AO, but then there haven't been a whole lot of kids aboard, in suites...

    Answered here:)

  13. Taking our first cruise with a package in June. It seems that it would be a great idea if they would give you the option to pool all of your drink credits for those with Plus/Premium in one cabin. Of course, that wouldn't work if you were friends rather than a couple but it would be great to have the option. Just trying to think of an option that leaves me with nothing to worry about lol

Keep it nice, we have that cabin on the transatlantic in Sept.

Will do! What a great cabin for a transatlantic! We only have 2 sea days so it's a bit overkill but we are celebrating our daughter's high school graduation so it will be a nice surprise for her.
