Greetings - as mentioned by others, there are active social media groups that cannot be mentioned by name on CC. As to ports, one visit to Barbados & St. Maarten in 2018. Also, my first visit to NY 25 years. I live in CA, often cruise from Miami, Galveston or Los Angeles.

Thanks for the answer.

My husband and I are sailing on the Carnival Venezia March 3rd-15th, 2024. We plan to arrive in New York a few days prior
in case of weather issues. Just wondering if Carnival offers any specific hotel packages for pre or post sailings that might include
a shuttle to the port.
Thanks.

I really wish this group was more active. We enjoy meeting new people and like to sometimes book private shore excursions with others. Have you done all of the above ports before?

Hello,
Welcome to the roll call. It's not a very active group so far. My husband and I are looking forward
to sailing on the Venezia and going back to Barbados and St. Lucia. We are flying into New York a few days ahead in case of any weather issues for plane delays. We live in St. Louis and have sailed from
New York on a Bermuda cruise.
Looking forward to this cruise.

Hello,
My Husband and I just booked this 12 day cruise on the Carnival
Venezia and can't wait to sail on it. I love the ports on this itinerary,
especially Barbados and St. Lucia. We have been to all except
St. Kitts.
Look forward to cruising with all of you.

Thanks everyone. We have booked a tour with Provence Connection to Aix En Provence, Cassis and Marseille.

Hello,
I am looking at a shore excursion that goes to Aix En Provence, Cassis & Marseille. We dock in Marseille on a Sunday in September. Can anyone tell me if all the markets and little boutique shops will be closed. I am also wondering about restaurants and cafes? I know that there will be other sights to see, but I love to browse local shops and market places and thought maybe we should look at a different excursion while docked.
Thanks.:)

We are sailing Sept. 17th on the Allure . We depart at 8 P.M. Does anyone have any idea what is the earliest check-in time? We are staying 4 nights in Rome prior to cruise and renting an apartment. Our check-out is 10:30 A.M.
I know it's about an hour to port but wondering what is the earliest we can be on the ship?
Thanks.

I have been checking hotels in Rome for a stay prior to taking a cruise in September. Does anyone know if you have to pay in full or can you just make a one night deposit? We are staying 4 nights and all the hotels seem to require full payment when making a booking. I know that some are cheaper if paid in full and are non-refundable but I not looking at those.
We usually stay at Marriotts and just give a cc to hold deposit.
Thanks.

in Carnival Venezia Roll Calls
Posted
Welcome Art M,
It's great to see someone else joining our cruise. How lucky to be doing a b2b. You must enjoy cruising as my husband and I do also. We have cruised out of New York for a Bermuda cruise a few years ago. Loved sailing past the Statue of Liberty.
The reason I mentioned about the roll call being not very active is that we have shared a number of shore excursions with people that we have met on our roll calls. We prefer not to do ship excursions and book our own with a private guide. We live in St. Louis and will fly into New York a few days prior to avoid any weather or plane issues. Looking forward to the Carnival Venezia!
