    They sent me a PDF file with my Cancellation Invoice and it shows all of my deposits made towards the cruise and the dates I paid them, refunds for my shore excursions I had paid for in advance, and the return of our CRUISENEXT deposits. I just compared to my original payment receipts and the refund is for 100% of what I paid in advance.  However, it has not posted to my credit card yet.  

     

    Now, my question is...they are also going to apply 100% that same amount to a future cruise, right?  When and where do we get or find that amount applied to our account?  On our online NCL account where our CRUISENEXT deposits are?

     

    Thanks again for everybody being so helpful during this ordeal.

  2. We received our cancellation letter from NCL yesterday too with the amount we will be credited.  Our CRUISENEXT certificates have already posted to our NCL account, but our credit is not showing on our credit card as of this moment.  

    A few questions:

    Can anyone confirm that the Jade ran aground on the Panama cruise the week before ours, as someone had posted in this link?

     

    How about any update on where the Jade currently is?

     

    How is the situation with all of the passengers still waiting on flights last night and today?

    Standard hold that they put on your card on embarkation day to make sure you have credit available.  It should eventually disappear but you should first see your actual final charges post (unless NCL is comping board account charges as part of the compensation).

    I do see 3 charges that are listed on my credit card as still pending from NCL...but for small amounts on overages on glasses of wine, etc.

     

    Could someone explain how the refund, credit for future cruise works...I’ve never been in this situation before. I thought I saw where someone received their refund already...

    This is on our credit card too. Any ideas? 

     

    It ended up taking us 24 hours to get home yesterday from disembarking the ship, waiting for the first charter flight out, catching our flight to New Orleans and then driving 3 hours home. Any updates on passengers still waiting in San Juan and flights for them? 

    Thanks to everyone who posted information here over the last couple of days! It truly was so helpful to us.

  5. There was an NCL rep there, but since we had a connecting flight booked already, she just showed us which direction to go to get to American Airlines ticket counter. She did tell one couple to go upstairs to try and secure a hotel and that hotel shuttles were also upstairs. Hopefully someone else can give you more information that interacted with her. 

  6. Ours was Eastern airlines. We did have a flight attendant escort us to baggage. It took about 30 minutes for luggage to start arriving. Then, we were on our own to get to our connecting flights. We booked our connecting flight in advance of arriving to Miami. FYI...airport is very, very busy due to holiday, but you can quickly get through security if you have TSA precheck or global entry cards. We had 1 1/2 hours until our connecting flight and made it. Hope all of this is helpful! Safe travels to all of our fellow cruisers on the Jade.

  7. Update...we are still sitting on plane waiting. People are getting frustrated and irritated as we don’t know what the hold up is about and many have connecting flights in Miami. Be sure to give yourself extra time for those on the second charter flight to make your connection in Miami. Everyone involved is trying to make the best out of a bad situation.

  8. We are finally on plane. Everyone had carry on bags searched and each person was hand scanned with wand for security, 10 people at a time getting off bus for this security check. We are about to take off. We have a large plane that does have first class for certain suite guests if their concierge requests for them. Told us we should be landing in the domestic flight terminal in Miami. Hope this helps!

  9. Sitting on tarmac with 5 other buses waiting and waiting to load charter flight. They’re trying their best given the situation. All passengers are being pleasant and we just want to get home. My husband and I were called at 10 am to be ready by noon as our flight was departing at 4 pm. We were also told a NCL rep would be with all of us to escort passengers to the buses, on the bus and on the plane. We have not seen one NCL rep since we scanned our ship card during disembarkation. More information would be helpful for those of us trying to book flights home from Miami. I was down at guest services at 7 am and they told me at that time there was room on the 4 pm flight.

We were also on this cruise...I do know it was related to the shipwide announcement at 11:50 pm on Thursday night for O negative blood donors to report to medical services immediately...per our cabin attendant. He said it was related to people in the same cabin but didn't give details. We were told by other cruisers at dinner on Friday night that one person did pass away and the other was critical. That is why they increased speed to get us back to Miami before midnight.

  11. "Still Dreaming" is correct! I just got off the phone with NCL and they said they are trying to confirm with shore excursion vendors that they can accommodate another ship load of passengers and then at that time, they will open the entire site on My NCL. He said the error was on their part until they update everything for our 10/28 cruise!
