  3. I'm a new MSC cruiser,  I Have cruised Royal, Carnival, and NCL. I booked this cruise with Easy Plus Drink package. I was wondering if the package starts when you board the ship, or does it start the second day? I've never cruised with a drink package before and thought I heard something on Carnival that it doesn't start the first day on their line.

  4. For some silly reason I did not prepay my gratuities when I booked, figuring I'd just pay them onboard. No biggie. I Always pay them but cannot for the life of me figure out when they deduct them from your sign And sail account when onboard. I put cash as my payment method and just want to make sure I have enough cash on the card when it's ready to come out. Thanks!!

  5. Hi All....

I cruise to Bermuda the first week of September. I want to make sure our applications are in and approved as far out as I can. Does anyone know when I will be able to put my application in. As of right now the only sailing listed on the site is in June for my ship. I don't want to cut it too close and take the risk of not having it back in time.

    Thanks

  6. Hi fellow cruisers.

I was gifted $500 in carnival gift cards but they came to my email. How do I redeem them? I'm already paid in full so I can't apply them to my balance. Do I have to print them and bring them with me or can I apply it to my account now? I sail in September and don't want to misplace them.

    Thanks

  7. I live in eastern Suffolk county and I contacted County Car Service and they gave me a quote of $250 per trip (500 RT) for a ride to the Manhattan cruise port. When I checked Uber the price was $ 157 per trip... Maybe you could send an uber to them. I've sent uber to other people. It may be worth looking into. Hope you all have a nice Cruise 😃

  8. Thank you for taking the time to reply. I appreciate the feedback. Looks like I'll be taking your advise and just parking at the pier itself.  Do you know if you need a reservation prior to arrival at the port. Would not want to get there and find I had no place safe and convenient to park my car.

    Thank you....

  9. Has anyone used Park Right Manhattan Cruise Parking? Their add states they are directly across the street from the cruise terminal in Manhattan and their prices are half of what it is to park at the actual terminal. Was wondering if they are reputable and if my car would be safe there for the duration of my cruise?

    Thanks for any input.

    🙂 Melissa

  10. Thank you all for your help. If the above poster is correct then it may just be easier to leave it home rather than go through the hassle of getting it through the port agents and then getting a permit from the Bermuda parks dept. He will just have to enjoy his hobby on all beaches of Long Island where we live 🙂

  11. Hi fellow cruisers,

We are set to sail on the Carnival Magic on Sept 5, 2022 to Bermuda and my boyfriend was thinking of bringing his metal detector with him to use on the beach. HAs anyone done this and is it an issue? Is it something that is allowed to be brought on board?

    Thank You Kindly

    Melissa

  12. As for 1420 on Splendor, I had the comparable cabin on Triumph (1402) on a 2-night to nowhere cruise. I posted pics of it but they were on Webshots back then and are now show as just a small, red x in my posts.

That cabin did have a small sofa. It was an interesting layout. You walked in, bathroom was to the right, small sofa directly across from the door. On the left were the closets and the desk. The bed was opposite the desk, lined up fore to aft (so it was against the wall that backs up to the elevator shaft).

Honestly, I didn't like it. Lots of vibrations, you could hear the elevator humming up and down all night.

But the cabin on Splendor may not be the same as the one on Triumph. If it were me, I wouldn't book it. There haven't been many cabins I didn't like, but that was one.

Thanks for the info. Too late to change rooms now so I'll just have to make the best out of what I have. No biggie, don't spend too much time in the cabin anyway. Besides any cabin is better then being home [emoji12]

  13. I leave for a cruise in my first 1A cabin in a few weeks. I'm in cabin 1420 on the Splendor. I know it has 1 bed on the floor and I believe a pull down bunk bed, but since I'm rooming solo it doesn't really matter to me. Does anyone know if it has a sofa or chair in it? Even better, does anyone have pictures they could share??

    Thanks!

    Melissa

  14. I've sailed on both NCL and Carnival. Sailed the NCL Spirit and absolutely hated it. Everything from the service to the food was terrible. It was the only cruise I had ever been on that I couldn't wait to end. I'm not solely a Carnival cruiser and am not saying there aren't things Carnival could improve, but given the choice between the two I would always pick Carnival.
