Anyone currently on Granduer to update us?
on Now
Not aware of any problems. We are familiar with the Covid cough, and we have not heard it.
No masks.

We are on the next Grandeur sailing, so you have me worried! I double checked our travel insurance (through Chase Sapphire card) and quarantine at a physician’s direction is grounds for a claim.
We board this morning. We had it on a cruise in 2022. Dam, I don't want it again.
Hope they are handing out mask when we get to the port.

I requested shareholder OBC this morning, and received an email about two hours later saying it had been approved and added to my account on Grandeur.

Same situation for some of our US ports in the NE. 3-4000 passenger cruise ships no longer welcome. The size of the ships continues to grow.
Not specifically against wealthy people though.

Well, if you research the two names there is a difference. Seems like a couple of people came up with similar pastries, and each gave theirs a different, but similar name.

Booked AA 12:30 p.m. flight. YUL-ORD-BNA. 5 hours total travel time.
I would have preferred no ORD, but----

11:14 should be fine. Just walk off early and catch a cab. Or, if you really want the 9:20, get off the ship the night before and stay at the Marriott at the airport.
Remember you need to clear US Immigration and Customs at YUL. If you have Global Entry, its very fast.
Will we need to keep our luggage in our cabin or pick it up off the ship?

The ship arrives on September 19 and overnights in Montreal.
We want to leave on the 20th.
I first booked a non stop that departed at 9:20 a.m., but decided that was too early and cancelled.
There is an 11:14 a.m. flight and a 12:30 p.m. flight.
Is 11:14 too early?

Or change your flight to the next day and enjoy a day and evening in Montreal. It is a great city if you haven't visited before.
Unfortunately, there are no non stop flights on the 21st.

You might consider debarking on Sunday and booking an airport hotel for the night. You would need to be at the airport by 7:30 at the latest to clear US customs and immigration before your flight. If you have a Regent transfer booked, they will presumably have a bus for you bright and early!
I thought about a hotel. No problem leaving the ship a day early?
No Regent transfer. I didn't book the flight through Regent. Can I still get a Regent transfer? Get it on the ship?

When the ship docks in Montreal, it will not need to clear Canadian Customs, assuming your port(s) prior are also Canadian ports.
When do you plan to leave the ship on Monday morning? For a 9:20am flight, you would need to allow time for traffic or other delays and be at the airport a minimum of 1.5 to 2 hours prior to flight time. Also, remember for your flight home, that you pre-clear US Customs\Immigration at the Montreal airport, so if it’s busy then you will need to allow extra time. If you have a Nexus card, then there is priority access/clearing process for Nexus members.
Have Nexus, Plan to disembark 6:30-7. The 9:20 flight is nonstop. Other flights go through ORD.

I think you would process through customs and immigration on your first port call in Canada. If Montreal is that port, you would process upon arrival Sunday. You likely would be able to disembark anytime you wish on Monday.
Visit several ports in Canada including halifax, Sydney, QC.

The ship overnights Sunday night. When can we expect to to clear customs?
Other possible problems?

Would like to board 11;30-12.

On the Oosterdam last summer, up early. Checked the HAL web site and it was in Dutch. Went down to the front desk to talk to them. They explained it was my phone, then they explained it was my browser. Then I took them over to the free computers and told him to log into my account. He did and it was in Dutch. He went back and sent a message to Seattle. I am convinced the tech staff on board have trained at Verizon, T-Mobile or AT&T stores in phone sales.
Anybody tried Stockperks yet? I refused, told them my vacation was not going to revolve around 4 different phone apps and HAL wifi! Took a look at Navigator today for fun. Still doesn't work. Has in the past, but not now, must of tried to fix something.
There, I vented!
Could not use stockperks at all. It want even open, much less download the app. Wanted my OBC for owning 100 shares of CCL stocks. They eventually did it manually.
The lady we are traveling with didn't have any problem using Stockperks.
It took a week, but stockperks finally got the OBC for me.

We are booked on Enchanted Princess 9-7-24. We were originally going to visit Bar Harbor. Bar Harbor is concerned about the negative impact of large cruise ships, and they are now limiting the number that can visit. Princess changed to Rockland, and the same thing has happened there.
So we now have two sea days on a 7 day cruise.
Any chance of receiving any kind of refund of port fees? Any other fees?

I downloaded the App. worked a little. It would not open so I uninstalled and downloaded again.
Not working.

Stockperks app. The most frustrating app I've ever used.
I set up an account.
When I try t login it says wrong password. When I change the password it will not accept anything. No error message. The app just does not work.
I left a message 2-3 days ago requesting help, and I've heard nothing.

Read reviews of both ships in Alaska.
Do you have an itinerary you prefer?
We had a similar choice for a Canada/NEcruise and booked HAL, but our relatives will only sail on Princess, and asked us to go with them. So.........
What are the benefits of booking a cruise while onboard?

I saw something about reduced deposit.
Can you later transfer to an non Regent travel agent and get their discount?
