I was able to call recently and get swapped up from two perks to four perks without losing an assigned guarantee room, but we are being charged the price difference between the guarantee rate we booked and the current rate.

I also swapped from a senior rate to the go best package (4 perks) but with the perks we crunched the numbers and came out ahead because DH was planning on getting the premium beverage package anyway.

The Classic Beverage package with alcohol is $ 55 per person per day + 18% gratuity. Package includes speciality coffee & teas, soda, bottled water, beer, wine and cocktails. Unless you think you will drink more than $55 each on the first day you might be better waiting until the morning of the 2nd day.

We just booked the Summit for August and opted to go with the senior discount and didn't take a drink package. It was a last minute idea and I had not read about the packages before hand so I didn't take one - live and learn. I should have researched it a bit more before booking with our TA. Now I cannot change it .

Anyway, I would like to know if we should by the drink package when we get on board or the next day when at sea. On our previous cruises, the package was not taxed the second day and they prorated the drinks we had the first day. We plan on getting 3 packages one for our DD (19) and one for each of us ( with liquor) . Anyone have any ideas? Thanks:o

Using drag decks from cruise deck plans dot com , it looks like your room is just over the blank space behind the RR's next to the comedy club. It is between the restaurant and the comedy club so it could be part of a hall. Hard to tell from the pictures. I have never been on the ship so I can just guess from what I see. Good Luck.

I booked a cabin and I got 5202, I ask the lady on the phone what was above it on deck 6 and she said a hall to a restaurant. Now looking at it, it seem to be below headliners comedy club. Can anyone tell by looking at deck plans? and if it is do you think it will be noisy late at night?

I have been to Atlantis twice and taken a cab ,they are all waiting at the entrance to the dock and will take you for a reasonable amount.

In order to save money we followed advice we found here on Cruise Critic and booked the Comfort Suites Paradise Island - for 4 people we get tickets to Atlantis and save quite a bit of money. We can also use the room to change if we want. However when we check in they will also let us check out which saves time when returning to the ship.

I had that problem ( unable to log in ) and when I called it turned out it was due to my son and my husband having the same name. Since my husband has no middle name we always use the middle initial for our son , it is not usually a problem but it was a glitch in the NCL system . They fixed it for me to get into the reservation, then the next day the system sent an email telling me they merged my husbands account because he had 2 Latitudes accounts. I thought nothing of it until I went to finish on line check in- every time I entered the information for one person , the other persons changed to the same information - after calling NCL , they were able to add my son's middle name to the reservation and finally I could print the docs.

You can leave the passport in the safe and just bring a paper copy along with your ship card and photo id. That way it all fits in the case you have. We usually just take id and the ship card along with some cash and a credit card and have not had a problem on any of our cruises. In the past we have done the Eastern Caribbean but trying the Western this year.

We also invested in a couple of waterproof reusable cameras but finally broke down and bough a digital waterproof camera for this trip. It takes great pictures and can be used anytime.
