  1. One more Oasis question. We are sailing on her for the first time 2/5. What nights are the formal nights? It used to be the second and one other as I recall on the Freedom. Looking forward to seeing what is a central park balcony we are booked in. Thanks

  2. I loved reading your review. We stayed with NCL one night pre cruise last time and decided we'd keep the rental car one more day this time. Glad to read your tips about the airport. Hmm our flight back to Newark does not leave until 3 pm. I'd rather do something else them sit in the airport til we board a 10 hour over night flight. We did this land tour and cruise in 2013 and are going back Sept 23rd. 2016 We LOVED Michael Sommerville and Toby Bleu and Oh What a Night. Michael Sommerville will be back later in October 2016. Sadly we will miss him. This time we have another couple joining my husband Matt and I. It's their honeymoon and my 60th Birthday trip.

Here is what we have planned. Now we know it is Pacific Whale for our snorkeling trip. Was the water really that cold you needed a wet suit? We were there in Sept. before and thought the water was warm. We live in PA.

  3. 49 days until our 4th time on the Freedom. I can hardly wait. We are building a house and moving to central Florida this summer. I am sad that Freedom is moving from Port Canaveral since that will only be 90 miles from our new home. I would continue booking this ship since we have only had positive experiences. Of course we always see grumpy people complaining about everything. You have to make it fun and have fun with the people working on the ship and they will have fun with you. The help always goes above and beyond for us because we are friendly to them. Any day that I don't have to cook and clean is a great day. Enjoy your trip.

We are sailing on the Freedom the same day you are. We love this ship too and hate to see her leave PC .

  4. I am booked on the 2/8/2016 cruise. My husband and I both got a phone call today and this email. Looks like it's the new terminal for FOS. Hello, this is Royal Caribbean International. We would like to provide you with some important information regarding your sailing onboard Freedom of the Seas out of Port Canaveral. Please note that check in for your cruise will take place at 9050 Discovery Road Terminal 1, Port Canaveral Florida. This is a new terminal and cannot be located on a GPS or maps program at this time. However, there are signs at the pier will guide you to the correct location, terminal 1. Please note that this address and terminal differs from the address on your Set Sail Pass, which contains incorrect information. The correct address above can also be found in your guest ticket booklet. We look forward to welcoming you onboard.

  5. Well, I read thru 43 pages then skipped to the end. Whew, great information!!

Wife and I are going on our 2nd cruise next mth., and making final arrangements for today as well as excursions. Headed to Jamaica, Grand Caymans, Cozumel aboard Navigator of the Seas from Galveston.

    - Any tips on the best snorkeling excursion for coral reefs in shallow waters?

    - Are there packets of honey aboard? We like to put honey in our coffee as a sweetener.

    - Anyone aware of Android apps that work offline for sending text messages? We use AT&T. Would be helpful to have as wife and I sometimes go to separate parts of the ship for events and meet later. Not interested in signing up for expensive wi-fi.

    - Love the comments about the Apps. Will look into the white noise one and the deck one.

    - I'm into gardening. Anyone know of good places to go at the ports noted where you can get perennial seeds? Are there any restrictions on bringing back aboard?

when you are onland search for wifi and use the android ap Hangouts. You can call and text. Turn off your media so att does not find your phone and load us messages and emails while you are away.

  6. We had a fabulous day on the water with Captain Bob (Fab's boat, actually) last November and have booked to spend another day with him in February 2015. Like another poster mentioned, he was upfront about poor snorkeling conditions, but the day was still fantastic. Definitely try the guavaberry colada! My girls still talk about their "speedboat day" constantly as this was a highlight of all of our vacations to date!

So good to see your review. I've taken your advice before and you are fabulous at traveling. When in Feb? We will be there the 12th.

  7. Trip Insurance with medical is worth it's weight in gold. We were taking a cruise out of NYC and on the Cruise Line Bus ride to the port, my husband cut his finger loading other passengers luggage. The gash required 6 stitches. We had to do it on the ship, which is registered out of the US and therefore our medical insurance insurance considered it out of network. The $480 bill was immediately added to our tab and had to be paid when we departed the ship. The medical center on the ship did schedule a second visit to remove his stitches, but I did that myself. Travel Insurance would have been half that amount.

  8. Chapter 8: Ziplines, Luaus, & Helicopters (continued)

After an amazing morning, we returned to the ship for lunch, a shower, and some down time - including about an hour of wandering the shops near the harbor - before meeting our Roberts Hawaii bus for the Smith Family Luau.

Puddles99, I just searched in vane for the Roberts Tour site for a bus to the Smith Family Luau. Where did you find that?
