  1. There has been some issues with the gangway. The the galveston website the chat rooms for the cams mentioned that the parts have to come from overseas and takes a while.

Seems they used the gangway last week though.

I hope it gets fixed soon. We board in 2 weeks

The port will start work tomorrow (Monday) repairing the gangway at terminal 1. Valor will dock at terminal 2.

  2. Seeing on social media a question about room cleaning with 150 responses in one day, and, sadly, the responses are all over the map as to whether people were offered 1x or 2x a day cleaning, or not offered any choice, etc. I guess those rogue stewards are impossible for management to find and re-train.

This is not about whether you want 2x or 1x; it is about how was it messaged to you; were you offered 2x? Were you offered only 1X and told you had to choose? Was nothing said at all and you got 1x, or got 2X?

I just want to see peoples experience.

This is about what Carnival communicated, not what your personal preference is.[/quote

Breeze in March. We were not ask about cleaning the cabin. It was done twice a day

  3. Does anyone have the email address for the main dining room Maitre D? We will be in the Blush dining room and I'm needing to contact them. I used to have the email address but can't locate it. Thanks:):):)

I have email several times and was told by a carnival person they do not get the emails on the Breeze. Emails have worked for the Magic so I Assumed it would work for the Breeze. I went to Carrnivals FB page and sent a message to them which they in turn sent my request to the ship. We board tomorrow let's see if they go it. Good luck

  4. CARNIVAL CRUISE LINE TO REPOSITION SHIPS IN THREE KEY HOMEPORTS IN 2018, PROVIDING EXCITING NEW VACATION CHOICES FROM GALVESTON, PORT CANAVERAL AND MIAMI

Carnival Vista to reposition to Galveston, Carnival Breeze to Port Canaveral and Carnival Magic to Miami in September 2018

I copied this from John Healds page, there is a lot more information posted.

  5. Hi All-

Anyone in the Houston/Galveston area able to tell me if there is any flooding issues on I-45 down to Galveston?

Have a cruise this weekend and if we need to take a different route it would be good to know now.

    Thanks in advance.

Galveston is OK, but getting there could be a problem. heavy rain, road closures are North of the city so if you are coming from the north check the local news abc13 they have a list of road closures.

  6. Thinking of a doing a b2b in April 2018 as we've got the Magic for April 2017, so just wondering what ship/ port of departure and the planning that's involved. I was thinking of the Pride in an interior w/ French doors or one of the larger ships but below the Dream class, any opinions or thoughts on what's the best course to take. Thanks

book early so you stay in the same cabin for both legs. you don't want to pack and move. Going to different ports is the best way to go. Nancy

  7. Well, here I am asking for help once more! "Wheel of Fortune" wasn't on again tonight because of March Madness. Did anyone happen to see what the 'Spin and Sail' puzzle was for this evening? Thanks for your help.

It will be on at 3:00am our time so we are recording it and will check when I get up. Posting as soon as I know

  10. I believe the pizza got moved to Lido aft (to make room for the BI Cantina), which means either the Deli or Tandoor had to move. Both are still listed as venues, which means one of them could have been moved to the former BBQ place (meaning no more BBQ place). Just a theory.

BBQ has been built out in the same place it was, just improved. The Deli has been moved inside the LIDO where the Burrito bar was and Tandoor is staying put.

  11. Is The Magic sailing out of Galveston still? Or will it be in the future? I get confused which ships are where and which ships are moving with the "Dancing of the Ships" or whatever it is called.

I would like to try a ship with all these features, particularly Guys and Alchemy. Galveston is within driving distance for me...hmmm...

The Magic is leaving Galveston April 17th going to Florida. The Carnival Breeze is coming to Galveston to replace her and is the sister ship with all the 2.0 upgrades. Nancy

  12. Has anyone been on the Magic since it's dry doc? We are cruising the end of April and would love to know how things are. Still looking for the current deck plan showing all the changes also.

Her first sailing after dry is this week. I saw on another site someone on board said it was wonderful and for those that know the Magic are in for a great surprise. Sailing a b2b Apr and can't wait to see the changes.

  13. we have book several b2b and never got a price break. Do get fruit basket and champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. you don't need FTTF for the second leg as Carnival will walk you off the ship through customs and back on before anyone else boards. would suggest you go to guest services during the first week and verify they show you second booking and have you all setup. You'll get a letter the end of the first week on where to meet for the debark and embark process. Nancy
