Got back from Japan Princess Circle Japan cruise to Kagoshima. Here is a useful flyer from the Kagoshima Tourist bureau for transportation. It is definitely too far to walk from the cruise port to the town, and may not even be worth walking the 1.5 miles to the light rail station. Taxis from downtown (ferry building) to the cruise terminal were few and far between - allow plenty of time. We had to wait 45 minutes get a taxi and spend another 45 minute in traffic. Kagoshima.pdf
