I have already talked to Access Department, everything has been noted and I was told on what I need from doctor, etc.
I read the post from Dialysis from a platinum cruiser and she stated she turned everything over to the porters to be hand delivered and that just didn't sit well with me. I honestly didn't think they would do that.
I'm just hoping when I carry on I can take directly to room. Its way too much stuff and heavy to haul around until 1:30. We would have to carry on machine, 7 cs of dialysate and 2 carryon bags full of supplies. That's on top of regular luggage.
Oh the things my husband does for me. Lol
We do plan on a later check-in for that reason so hopefully it all works out.
Thank you all.
I would take on with you. When my dad had to do dialysis his supplies were misplaced and we had to get off of the ship and catch up with it a few days later. After that we always hand carried. Carnival reimbursed us all oof pur expenses to catch up with ship plus pur cruise cares. We were using Baxter and did everything we were supposed to do prior to the cruise.

I had it on the Sunshine and/or Sunrise. What other ships offer this?

Please try the drinks at the Alchemy bar.

If you are in a balcony cabin it will be tight depending on the location of the sofa. I think if the sofa is near the door you will not have much room to walk. This was our experience in a balcony room on the Celebration.

You must play the slots before you cash out. If not, your card will get locked in the casino and you will need to go to the cage to get it unlocked.

My 2 y/o grandson lost a hat that we got for $5 in Aruba and need a replacement. Is there anyone going there soon who can get me another one and I will send money via cash app, Zelle,Venmo, or PayPal to cover all costs plus something for your time.? It was purchased at one of the vendors closest to where you come through the port gateses. Thank you in advance.

Once we were cleared to disembark the ship it went pretty smoothly - I had Zone 3 luggage tags. I felt bad for the ones waiting to board the ship. Many had to stand in a long line for a few hours.
-
Just want to let those who are due to board today Dec 17 that we are currently waiting to go into the channel. We are still at sea due to the port being closed because of the weather. It is currently 8:30am with no ETA.

Hi, Mark wasn’t ever in a band, sorry, guess it was another Mark who worked for Carnival. Yes, our son worked onboard a few years before the 2020 Covid shutdown. He went back to the Fun Squad on the Panorama very briefly in 2021. But, he felt like the mask police & that too many of guests were giving the staff a hard time. The general loss of manners. He’s doing well and is working with his Dad in our family owned business - 30+ years! Mark will take it over one day. So, it all worked out.

I had it wrong but I remember you talking about him. Sometimes things have a funny way of working out. At least he can say he had the experience and no what ifs.

I have a Celebration cruise beginning the last weekend in January. Chris Williams is on the most current Carnival CD List (as of a few days). Sorry to hear this news. I actually notice the CD’s. Guess it’s from the days when our son was a member of Fun Squad. One of the guys he worked with, Alex, was promoted to CD. Nice guy too!🛳️🛳️

If I remember correctly he was a in the band at one time @Marksmok. I remember years before the pandemic you were telling us he was working on one of the ships.

I am glad I purchased on Monday for my group for our December Horizon cruise.

Thank you though. We have.a tour for my group but was quoted $50. We need a bus due to it being 30 of us.

Were there people selling Bonaire tours and if you remember how much, please

Coming from St. Pete you will need to leave at least by 5:45am depending on how deep into St. Pete you are and you need to allow for fog or an accident on the Skyway. We always leave at 7am from Sarasota and that is a 30 minute breakfast stop and a 15 minute bathroom stop at the 2nd rest area on Alligator Alley.

Oh wow. All I did was answered and elaborated a little more to OP regarding my experience. No one is complaining. Geez whiz. I hope mods will lock this post.

After this I am so done with topic. For all of you quoting the rules Judy wait until you or a traveling companion needs to use a scooter and only then will you understand the severe shortage of handicap rooms on the ships.
We know what is printed but at times there the room stewards comes up with suggestions for those on the Celebration, which is the only ship that I have encountered with smaller rooms.
-
The problem is there are very few handicap room on the ship. Some people may not need a handicap room who uses a scooter. There are many who may not be able to distances. The Celebration is a huge ship. OP talk with your room steward for options if you are not able to get an accessible cabins. I am sure Carnival is aware of the issues with the rooms.

The problem with Carnival Celebration's cabins are the rooms are smaller than the other ships and the location of the sofa will prevent the scooter going into the cabin. The IP asked a question which I answered with first-hand knowledge. I know the rules regarding scooters. I did not say ours were parked in the hall. I made a general comment regarding many scooters being parked in the halls. Have a great day.!

We saw a lot of scooters being parked in the halls. Speak with your cabin steward for suggestions. My mom and brother also took their rolling walker with the seat.

We had 2 balcony cabins in the Celebration with a scooter each. We were barely able to get the scooter through the door in the cabin where the sofa was near the door. There was hardly any room to get by. The other cabin where the sofa was nearest the balcony was a no go as far as getting the scooter through the door. We used scoot around as well and had their smallest scooter.

Yes, I have sailed and know about it. My problem was we needed that particular sailing and the accessible cabins were booked. Also, we needed at least 4 cabins very near each other. It worked about with our location. The cabin steward made an allowance for us. Thank you though.
