Thanks! What is the earliest they would let you on the ship?

I booked a last minute cruise and don't see an option to reserve a check in time at the port. Will I get that when I do my cruise check in, or can I do it sooner?
-
We always bring protein bars (you can get gluten free ones) which, being prepackaged, may be taken off the ship. Have a good sized breakfast and you will be good until you get back to the ship.
I have a big appetite lol. Not sure if some snacks will hold me haha!

Contact special_needs@rccl.com and notify them of your dietary restrictions. They will put you in touch with the people on board who will make arrangements for your meals.
Aren't we not allowed to take food off the ship? They will make arrangements for when I am off the ship?

I'll be on the Anthem to Bermuda shortly and plan on at least one day at Horseshoe Bay. Their snack bar has literally nothing for me to eat being gluten free. Any suggestions as to how I can get/bring lunch there? Any places I could pick something up right off the ship that I could bring to the beach? Or another idea?

Looks like the Bermuda boards don't have much info. A few questions:
1. Better to book Horseshoe Bay transfers through the excursions RC offers, or to get there another way (and if so, what is the easiest way to do so?)
2. Anyone do the resort for a day to Elbow Beach Resort?
3. Any other recommendations with a 6 and 9 year old? Open to off the beaten path stuff.

Ok for 6 and 9 year old? Or inappropriate?

I am going on the Anthem (5 day Bermuda) in August and was looking at recent Cruise Compass'. I haven't been on RC for a while, but it seems that there is not a regular show every night? I am used to there being two shows a night (one for early diners and one for later diners). Is this replaced by the shows you have to reserve? Never seen this on any other ship before.
Thanks!

Was the all-inclusive better or worse than a cruise?Which resort? They are sooo different in quality. Including food quality.
Dreams Punta Cana resort and spa. Got great reviews, but I didn't love it. I'm sure there is a lot of variation among the different resorts.

Worse! I do think a lot of it is preference though. The food and service (especially the service) didn't come close to a cruise. It was really bad. But...the pool was massive. It was about 1/4 mile long, winding through the entire resort. So there was plenty of room to swim and relax. That part was great. The had floating mats for the pool. Still same issue with towels sitting on chairs all day.

Hi all! I am considering the southern Caribbean itinerary next winter on Freedom. Looking for some feedback on the food and service as well as overall thoughts on the ship. I am a single mom (mid 40's) traveling with a 6 and 10 year old. We like to spend a lot of time in the water and like to see the shows. My kids are happy to eat pasta and hot dogs, but I like to enjoy good food lol. Just came back from an all inclusive resort for the first time, and couldn't believe the difference in food quality and especially service compared to a cruise.
Thanks for your feedback!!

Nothing is set in stone. Try the sofa bed out on night one if you like it keep it for the week. If not then put a child on it the next night. If they complain then make the kids swap between the bed and the sofa on alternating nights to please them both.
If the sofa is comfy enough I would likely stick with that as it might be considered a tad more private since you aren't within arms reach of the other bed!
Ha! This is what I'm leaning toward. I would like to be a few feet from the kids lol. Hoping the sofabed is comfy!

My daughter is about to go on a school trip and she and another girl are fighting about who gets the sofa rather than having to sleep in one of the available beds! Your kids may actually want to sleep on the sofa, why don’t you ask them, or even just wait and see how things go when you get on board? Other option is to find a bigger cabin with Pullmans I guess, but you’re not going to get much privacy regardless.
There aren't pullmans available in baclony rooms on the anthem. I also don't want the kids to share a bed because one is an early riser and would wake the other if they were in the same bed. Separate beds and his kindle and we are golden:D

I will be on the Anthem this summer and unfortunately there's no pullman bed. So my options are for each kid (6 and 9 years old) have their own bed and I take the sofabed. Or one kid has the sofabed, one had a bed and I take the other bed. Thoughts? Any other options?? I prefer a bigger bed, but also prefer a little privacy (or as much as you can have in a cruise stateroom!)

No, it's not noisy. No "public" area is within a cabin hallway. RCI is pretty good with ship design and keeping cabins out of the general path of public spaces. Which ship are you sailing?
Anthem.

Is it really noisy near adventure ocean? Looking at a stateroom nearby. Thanks!

I am considering the Anthem this summer, and was looking for feedback on category 1N staterooms, deck 3. Being that it is close to the theater and casino, how concerned do I need to be about noise? I'm not concerned about noise after 9am and before 10pm. Is it extra noisy/a lot of traffic in that area? I've only had rooms on stateroom only floors in the past.
Thanks!

Out of curiosity, does the trundle part HAVE to be raised to the same height or is it possible to leave it lower so they in one bed but at 2 levels? I have been wondering this...as it seems like it would be ideal at times to leave that pull out bed lower for some families!!
That is a great idea! And would solve my issue!

????? Why????? You stated in your original post that you sleep in the bed. Why would you have to move to the sofa?
I want to keep the kids together. Then my option would be me on one bed, one kid on the other, right? And one on the sofa bed. I typically have them on one side and me on the other. Trying to see how that would work on Anthem.
-
That big bed you sleep in (lol) splits into 2 beds.
I know...but then I have to sleep on sofa bed :( lol!!

I will be traveling as a single mom with 2 kids, ages 6 and 9. Typically when I cruise, I take the bed, one kid sleeps on the couch and the other on a pullman bed which is usually over the couch. I don't seem to be seeing any options like this on the Anthem. I don't even see many rooms with a pullman at all, ant those that do it appears to be over the bed. I like to keep the kids on one side of the cabin and myself on the other for privacy "or as much as you can have on a cruise!), but also don't want the kids in the same bed. And suggestions?? Thanks!

i believe so, the couch is a twin against the wall. I believe it’s identical to a balcony cabin with a bigger bathroom.

The cabins with Pullman’s sleep 4, and the bed is usually by the balcony in them.
Editing, what ship? On the Breakaway, the Pullman was closer to the door, on the Ge, it was by the balcony.
The Escape. Same for balcony and mini suite? As long as it says sleeps 4, it has a pullman?
-
How can I tell what rooms have a pullman bed (do any mini suites have them?) And how can I tell if the bed is by the closet or balcony?
Thanks!

Was wondering how bad (or not) the obstructed view balconies on Anthem are? I'm having a hard time finding pictures or description of the obstruction. Thanks!
