  1. Was all set to book Celebrity Millennium Southbound Alaska, June 2015. Then clicked on Royal for the fun of it and saw that Radiance of the Seas does the same trip. It has just been refurbished and has a lot of specialty dining which appeals to my husband and I.

Should I consider Royal before I book the Celebrity cruise?

What are the pros and cons doing Alaska on RCCL?

    Thank you!

Radiance is a beautiful ship, We were on her several years ago and loved it. We are taking a B2B to Alaska on her this year.

  2. We had the same issues on the Explorer last month. It seemed like the older people (walkers, wheelchairs, hover-rounds) were the rudest of the bunch. They spoke down to us constantly. DH and I are early 50s so we're not young by any means. Also, we tried to be polite ... like we were both raised.

Had the almost the same issue on another ship. We were waiting in a line for lunch in the WJ and older lady cut in front of me in a hover round, I told her the line started back there. She said very rudely that she was old and hungry, I told her so was everyone else in line and get to the back. Some people behind me high fived me and said good going.

  3. I've always paid my balance for each cruise just a couple of days prior to the balance being due, but does paying the full amount any earlier on RCI allow you to book specialty dining, or other perks any earlier?

I have a cruise in June and have already paid it off,

    1) It is done and over with, no worries about how to get money for the cruise. Some of this I paid with RCCL points

    2) I have time to book excursions (pay them off) Most companies want their money right away in full, this is now done.

    3) Airfare which wants it money right away in full, this is now done.

    4) I already have the douple points on my RCCL card and will used for onboard credit, which I plan on doing in January after my Christmas purchases or as soon as I have enough points to get the amount of credit I want.

5)Now nothing to do until RCCL opens up for dining reservations and other stuff you have to wait until 30-90 out.

  4. The breakfast consisted of 2 small cold baked potatos, a fancy carved tomato, 2 cold snow crab legs, weird green stuff I couldn't identify, small crab quiche, plate of fresh fruit, a basket of dried out pasteries, OJ, half bottle of cheap champagne, and coffee. Needless to say, I ate the fruit, made a mimosa, then we went to the MDR for a good breakfast. Here are the photos. (We didn't unpack the fluffy robes that were in the package. We just wore the thin waffle robes.)

I got the package for our Oct cruise. Good thing I did not get it for just the breakfast. But I was thinking this would be the same breakfast as the UBB(Ultimate balcony breakfast). I guess it is not. So should I order the UBB seperate?

Thanks in advance for the advise.

  5. From your friendly cruise critic store, for a whole $6!!! http://www.cruisecritic.com/store/product.cfm?ID=26

Also, I read on here several times that Princess wouldn't accept faxes for an egg-crate mattress topper. I faxed in one last week and called yesterday, it was received and was noted in our reservation, so it is prolly a "crap-shoot" Do both, if you really want one and don't want to worry about them running out!

    Thanks. That was fast.

The link to the pictures is not working for me.

The reason I did not choose B751 was the balony, I wanted one the was fully covered like S714. Plus S714 has a newer look and feel to it, B751 kinda looked dingy (old looking).

And I do not care that S714 does not have a wet-bar.

Have a good cruise to Hawaii. We are going in OCT and I can not wait.
