1. Sailing on the Star November 8. Does anyone have any specific questions? I'll try to reply during the week (if possible), but most definitely upon return.

Greetings fellow cruiser. I see you are sailing on the 8th. If you are interested, we have a Meet & Greet all set up for this cruise. Here is the link to our roll call. It's never too late.

  2. Doing from my phone so it's hard to get them enlarged.

Thanks for the pics. May be reason enough to book the Gem next year. DW & I cruised the Gem this past April and I have to say it was not the best. Majority of the crew seemed unhappy. The weather was awful too, but you can't control that (not yet) :D

I am getting a little stressed out with the negative reviews in regards to our upcoming cruise on the Star:eek:. Keeping fingers and toes crossed.

  3. I know there are SE and SF suites with the one facing forward and the other aft. I wondered if there is any wind protection on the forward facing ones other than the standard type railing. Any deck better than another? With the aft facing suites any preference as to in board vs out board?

    Thanks for your help.

  4. Goodness me! have you been on excursions which insist you get off the boat? What an odd thing. I can not help you with Jolly Rodger but I know Free Radical does not demand everyone get off the boat. If fact they took several people to see the mangroves in a small boat while many if us snorkeled.

This is our first Catamaran excursion with snorkeling included.Just wondering what the protocol is. I contacted Jolly Roger and we are allowed to stay on the catamaran while others snorkel. (more rum punch for us lol)

  5. We are cruising in November, we were scheduled to call at Harvest Caye, just got an email from NCL that we will be calling on Belize City instead. Harvest Caye won't be ready till Feb 2016

Sent from my SPH-L720T using Forums mobile app

Thanks for the info. DW & I are also cruising the Western Carib this November. We are/were scheduled to call at Harvest Caye. No e-mail yet.

This will be our first cruise to the western carib. Is Belize City a tender port or does the ship dock.

  6. Does anyone know the width of the NCL luggage tags? I want to order some luggage tag holders from Amazon & they come in 2 different sizes. One set is for Standard (3" wide) and the other is for Narrow (2" wide). I think the NCL ones are Narrow? Thanks for the help.

    Cheers,

    Sandy

Both. We got the narrow ones in the mail and printed the wide ones from the e-docs.

  7. Like the pool area, Spice H2O is more crowded on sea days than on port days. Always seemed to be enough chairs and loungers on my 2 BA cruises but very little shade. It wouldn't kill NCL to buy a few more umbrellas. Nice waterfall to cool off and 2 hot tubs.

Have not been on the Breakaway, but have seen some photos of Spice H2O. I wonder why NCL changed it. I was on the Epic and it looks nothing like the one on the Breakaway. Actually, it was the only part of the Epic the DW & I liked. 2 hot tubs and a small pool.

  8. Found this in NCL's guest Conduct Policy.

    DISCOURTEOUS OR DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOR

Pool, deck and theater chairs may not be reserved. Topless sunbathing is not permitted except in the designated areas. (Contact Guest Services for more information.) Boom boxes or loud radios are not permitted. Roller blades, roller skates, skateboards, scooters, surfboards, bicycles, and similar items may not be utilized on-board; except for mobility aids related to special needs, as approved by the ship’s management.

  9. You will love it!!! We had a small cabana last August and it was perfect. My daughter and her friend never left the small lagoon area there was plenty for them to explore and do. It's quiet and isolated and the staff is amazing.

The chips and different types of salsa are to die for. Each cabana also has a small shower behind it.

  10. Thank you solararc :)

Since you are all so knowledgeable... any place to "stash" your stuff while you go to explore the far lagoon? I'm thinking just my kindle/key card. Would they be safe?

Not quite a locker, but a good place to store your stuff. (Small cabana)
