Thank you for the input. I have read a lot of posts about low water levels and the impact that it has.  Difficult for people to plan a river cruise and then get bused to ports.   

My husband and I went on one Viking Cruise the Rhine Getaway in 2019. We would like to do one of the Danube cruises as we have heard great things about Budapest.  We are debating between the Danube Waltz or Romantic Danube in 2021. It looks like they tweaked the Romantic itinerary for 2021, staying longer in Vienna and making Nuremberg a post cruise option vs an actual stop.  I understand it is personal preference based on ports. I was wondering from previous passengers what really stood out on their trip.  Regardless of which we choose we will do the pre and post.  Thank you!

Is there a big difference between a French Balcony © vs. French Balcony (D)? The C costs a bit more but the size of the cabin is the same. Was wondering if it makes that big of a difference to be at a higher level on the ship. Also, the deck above C is the sun deck and was wondering if anyone experienced noise from that level? Thank you - we have taken several ocean cruises but this will be our first river cruise so not quite sure what to expect!

I agree, I wish there was a board about where not to stay. We just returned from Pride of Hawaii. Our cabin was 5598. Every night we were woken up around 3:30 am by loud noises. Some nights it sounded like a bowling ball was dropped. We heard scraping, dragging noises. It was very loud. The noises went on for 1/2 hour. At first we thought it was passengers. This went on all week. When we complained no one on the ship could tell us what was below us. On the map it showed blank space which we assumed was crew rooms, deck 4. The crew told us when it happened to call security. We received no resolution to the problem.
