  1. You're welcome. Oh also regarding the power slot requiring card that's just inside your cabin door: any type card does work instead of your room card for convenience just leave in the slot and pull out or in as you come and go but remember if you leave your phone or camera on a charger leave power on when leaving - we kept doing that!

Try memorizing deck plan helps so much to avoid getting lost. I remembered some things this way: Mixx bar is on six (rhymes) casino is on the 7th floor so I just thought "casino = lucky #7" also works for O'Sheehans on deck 7 also - Irish Pub = luck of the irish - these may seem silly but it helps a lot. I don't like being lost on my ships- I want to enjoy them!

  2. Hello

Also just off this cruise and I agree with the original posters' review. Our 12th cruise, 3rd on NCL - loved the ship I thought the design was genius. Lots of intimate places. H20 and the waterfront were great. There were so many different options and spaces on the ship it was hard to partake in all. I loved Rock of Ages! Did not do Cirque. Slam Allen was excellent and entertaining. Thought Impac was good. We tried all three main restaurants and enjoyed them all - the service was excellent. We ate around 8:30 at night. I find eating a little off standard meal times decreases wait time to almost non-existant. For example we saw a bunch of people lining up for Manhattan room at 5:30 waiting for it to open. We made reservations for 8:45 and got in no wait. Besides at 5:30 I'm still full from lunch at the Buffet which too we thought was great. Lots of different choices. It has many stations on both sides of the ship so you just walk around if you feel its too crowded in one area. We used Mixx bar between taste and savor for our short wait to have a cocktail the night we didn't make reservations and it was great.

Got to go to GSC much improved since 2004 and yes our weather was perfect and lots of people got off the ship but if you want to avoid crowds just go to the second beach. It was a really great day. It was a really great cruise and I also recommend the ultimate beverage package!

  3. Sailing Breakaway in 4 and 9 hours! (not that I'm counting) Also a Coca Cola person. From what I can tell from the pictures I've seen its your standard mini bar mini fridge - which I'm told you can ask your room steward to empty out if you wish. I am thinking of just bringing a soft sided cooler bag and that way the empty bag can double as one to bring stuff home in! We always bring home more crap than we left with!

  4. Hi

Have cruised 11 times Ill be on the BA 12/1 week after you - wow you are going to have a great trip! I'm from CT and love NYC but it will be cold so keep that in mind and cold first night of cruise too. Clothes for theatre can also work for "dressy clothes" on ship and luckily they have a laundry service which I think you'll need with the kids and the fact that you're flying! Just bring mix and match items too that will help. I always overpack but am fortunately not packing but I'd rather have too much than not enough!!

    Have a great trip!
