  1. I would have loved watching the game with your "unruly drunk" friend. I hate Tom as well.

In fact, I think most NFL fans hate him, as well as the cheater coach. Only the few from the Northeast like the team.

    All the best.

    Hey Mark,

I'm looking for a game as well as well...and have the same "hate/hate" attitude with Tom and coach:p

  2. We will be on the Millennium during the Stanley Cup Finals. My hometeam will be playing for the 1st time for the Stanley Cup. Is there any chance that it will be shown on the ship. Go Nashville Predators

    Good luck!

I've tried multiple times to get play off hockey on board at sports bars. The bartender said they are limited to a small amount of sports channels depending on their sat package.

Sooooo, we ended up missing the stanley cup games because, get this, they only had women's college softball!?

    Have a great cruise...

  3. I won't even address the rule I will just say as someone that had their suitcase under a suitcase that had a can burst.....Please don't put it in your checked luggage. And before I get told "I pack mine in my checked luggage all the time without problem" Great, good for you. I was the lucky one that spent my first day of my cruise doing laundry. Yes, Carnival offered but there were things I didn't trust them to launder.

    Please consider your fellow travelers.

    WOW, great point!

I didn't consider the affect it would have on adjacent luggage. Certainly something we all could benefit from...Thank you!

  4. Just came across this cruise yesterday! I looked into this cruise and it's being put on by a company that has been in this biz a very long time with lots of success. Seems that this tribute cruise is to Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks with the #1 touring tribute band of FM. The lead singer is dead on for Stevie and sounds just like her!! I also see that former band members of FM will be there and some of the songwriters/artists of Stevie Nicks, too! Looks like a fantastic Fleetwood Mac cruise filled with their incredible music. They also have performances by BILLY BURNETTE & BILLY FALCON. I know Burnette was a former band member of FM and has a sleuth of recordings with other top artists. His family were the original folk for capturing the sounds now called Rockabilly Music. Bill Falcon and written and performed with Stevie Nicks and is one of the top songwriters of today. He has written many hits for Bon Jovi and continues to write for him. The band members of World Turning are top musicians and singers themselves. This is going to be great!!

What I like about this cruise is that it's not filled with 10+++ bands. The charters are great when you want a large selection of music but I prefer going for the artist that means the most to me. When its a large charter, there is no possible way to get in all of the music and most of the top artists come in and out during the cruise.

Anyway.... the date is JAN 20-27, 2018 aboard the Celebrity Equinox. I know its aways off, but we all know how quick these sell out and I read that this is limited space with only 250 cabins. Just google Fleetwood Mac Tribute Cruise for all the info. That's what I did. Anyone else looking to go? Please let us know.:)

Too bad!! I'm already booked for same cruise when on board a celebrity ship last year...

    So we'll be sailing with ya'll .

Just wondering if there is any way to be apart of other shows....I understand that the group is private, for those who have booked through a certain TA.

Please let me know through e-mail below...

    Thanks!

  5. We just got off the Pride this Sunday (4/16), too!

In Red Frog, they had the Alterr Band. We really enjoyed listening to them- anything 70s and 80s, especially the Eagles was done very nicely. My goofy 12 year old requested "Band on the Run". Despite the fact that they hadn't played that song since the early 80s and the band had formed only in 2015- they pulled it off. We had late dining and took to going to Red Frog around 6:30 or 7, had whatever the drink special was (good bartender, Dewa), and then went to dinner.

There was also a really good lounge duo, Serene & Coco (Coco & Serene?) that was in Alchemy a couple of times and the atrium. They sang some 80s pop hits lounge style along with general lounge songs.

We don't really care for any of the shows unless it's something like a comedian or musician so we don't go to them.

I scanned ALL of the stuff we picked up-- Funtimes, Circle C, and random letters delivered to our cabin. Here's the link: https://goo.gl/tgesyY

    Thanks for the info!

I believe the Alterr band was formally Music Alterr from years ago, connected with a group of great Manilla bands mostly with MUSIC... as a prefix to their name.. Looking forward to our May 7 sailing!!

  6. Hi,

    Sailing May 7...

In the past, I've been avoiding the ships with Playlist productions, but thought I'd give it a try, lowering expectations:D...But we do enjoy the PRIDE.

Please...help me out...anyone recently cruised on PRIDE -after the TA sailing.

Hoping for any April reports re. bands and PBE... We do like the classic rock but any 70's and 80's music is preferred.

    Thanks again!

  7. Hi fellow cruisers!!

Sooooo....I've got 2 cruises booked, both booked 8-12 months before sailings.

In checking current prices, both are going for 3 time as the price I paid!

Time of year for cruising and booking is the key for better pricing.

Notice we choose dates where kids are in school. Also, hurricane season provide great pricing.

We also avoid the gulf ports because of being limited in ulterior itineraries, if a storm is threatening.

    Any other cruising wisdom??

  8. Never had this come up before...

I was asked if a pax can bring on juice concentrate, frozen, to mix in a 1.5 qt. container for mixers when buying from alcohol from BV.

They can't get their fav juice on board, and thought this was a good way...

Of course, they would probably have to mix it asap upon arrival to cabin.

Anyone else do this with always changing rules??

    Thanks

    Mike

  9. I know this has been an issue for some and just noted that our roll call has posted that 2 potentially large groups will be on board...

Their private functions are private. Not open to the public and reduces the available venues for the average pax.

Is there any recourse for those not booked through their TA's and group requirements?

Just curious... For us, we probably won't change.

  10. I've watched a video tour of Oasis of the Seas and I'm not sure I'd like it. Put a hotel on top of a shopping mall and put it on the water. I like being able to be at the Alchemy, or the Red Frog, or the Sports Bar and being able to look out at the ocean. They probably get more balcony rooms putting everything in the middle like that. I wouldn't mind a starbucks and a johnny rocketts, but I'm not a big fan of the design. If I didn't want to feel like I'm on a boat I wouldn't take a cruise.

    Greg,

I would wonder if you're "jumping the gun" when you base your like/dislike on a video:o

BUT... it would give you a great comparison though, noting how similar your past cruises were, and ship choices as well -listed on your signature.

We've sailed the Oasis 2x's in a year because of the surprise return of the great "WOW" feeling.

The Oasis Class ships were hardly boring...as one could simply sail for the ship experience! This is a great choice for people who have that happy dilemma of going to the same ports way too frequently.

Come on, Greg... take a chance and then review, based on a real personal experience--your own:*.

If, not you will be left with that always returning sense of SHIP-ENVY, when at port, the ship next 2 you... is the Oasis!
