  1. OK, I was told there is a 36.00 per person charge that is applied to your room charge just for getting off the boat at Castaway Cay and also 25.00 charge for a "survival pack" which includes water on ice . Can someone please clarify this for me please ?

  2. I definitely recommend being on one of the first tenders out for HMC !! We had a cabana so the earlier the better. We didn't use Serenity simply because didn't feel the need to . Was just my husband and I so we just hung by the bar on Lido and the casino bar . We did see the 2 comedians and 1 was really funny, we also went to the love and marriage show, the quest ✌ and the Hasbro game show. I recommend all of them especially The Quest if you over 18 and not easily offended !!

  3. We were they only ship in Grand turk and there were plenty of chairs available ,shouldn't be an issue with another ship there . You have to watch which ones you sit in cause Independent companies also have chairs there and will try to charge you . If it is possible for you to do I definitely recommend Governor's beach. If you leave the cruise center and make a left there is a guy set up renting golf carts fairly cheap. That's what we did after a couple hours at the main beach. Tender at HMC was running constantly. Dropping off and picking up . No problems there. I don't feel there is enough time at either of the 2 ports , we missed the buffet on HMC, just couldn't leave the beach or cabana !!

  4. Just got back from our 5 night on the Sensation . First things first , Carnival needs to dry dock this ship, don't get me wrong I had an amazing time and the staff were wonderful but the vibe on this ship isn't like others I have been on . There were little to no entertainment on the Lido deck and the quality of the food was bad ! Just to let people know, the dining room still had tablecloths, no chocolate on pillows at turn down (didn't bother me ) no hairdryers in OV room, robes were there and room steward cleaned 2 x daily.

  5. I posted this in the Port of Call thread with no luck.

Will be in Grand Turk in Sept on the Sensation and will have our own snorkel equipment. We are inexperienced snorkelers so we don't plan on going way out and really don't want to do an excursion. Just looking for something to do on our own . Any suggestions ?

  7. I called Enterprise at FLL and was told they shuttle to and from Port of Miami, hope that's true, so I think that's the route I'm going to go . Thanks everyone for the advise, it's so much appreciated !!

  8. I will be flying in to FLL and cruising out of port of Miami and needing the best options for transportation . I will have a day before cruise and a couple days after. Would it make sense to rent a car and park at port so I will have my own transportation ?

  9. My husband and I will be on the Carnival Paradise which will be in May 1st and are interest in visiting the ruins and maybe a quite beach . Any suggestions on an itinerary that will give us the best value and most out of the time we have there. We will be in port from 11:00am - 8:00 pm.
