I need more info on this. Does the crew not receive all of the gratuity?  If this is the case I would rather remove them and bring more cash to give the gratuity that way but I would worry about the “behind the scenes” people not getting their full

    tip.

i agree... if you take off the set charge to give where and to whom you want... then tehres going to be a lot of behind the scenes people getting nothing!! leave that amount set.. and give above and beyond if you so feel.

guarantee those that take it off never give that same amount and to those that clear in the windjammer, pick up after you and serve in anytime dining etc etc. thought the crew that gets tips that are from people that have removed have to put back in the kitty anyway...

    LEAVE IT ON...

  2. the key is to take it easy. that's why a lot of people experience it, they go on these 3/4 day tours from the cruiseships that have you on the run!! we did it ourselves before the cruise and I planned it all myself. was concerned about the altitude sickness and since cusco is way higher than MP, I decided to have a pick up from the airport and have us taken down to the sacred valley right away to the lower altitude. drank lots of coca tea in lima airport and after arriving, took our time, not eat too much, no booze, and lots to drink/hydrate. we were tired, but no sickness. have a good time:)

  3. "If you really like cruising you may care to buy 100 shares of stock in the line as you get additional obc's on future cruises as a stockholders benefit."

as someone else mentioned, I would say I wished I bought stock sooner!! CCL gives you OBC for every cruise, carnival, princess, HAL, seaborne, cunard

and costa. and they are combinable with other OBC, unlike other cruiseline stock. and for every cruise:D

they have a mini van and I booked them for the 2 days we were docked in lima. met us at the gates and took us to the main sightseeing places before the rest of the crowds. also did the night show of the water fountains. they stayed with us and drove us back to the ship. saw the ruins the 2nd day. very friendly and reasonable.

  5. I booked our flight and hotels and then booked cusco transport to pick us up(driver and guide) from the airport to drive us down to the sacred valley to ollytambo to get the train. stopped along the way for a few photo ops and then I booked/paid for the train to aguas callientes. they contacted a guide for us for MP, who was really great. we stayed there(sumaq hotel) 2 nights, then took the train back. they were ther to pick us up and take us to hotel I booked in urabamba for 2 nights. next day had driver and guide for full day. next day pick up again to drive to airport. very good, prompt and reasonable.

  6. you are dropped by the bus to the entrance and I recall not far to walk in before taking the escalators. there is a bit of walking once down. the REAL walking is in the museums. and if you want to see anything its all walking. I remember the tour guide saying while in the one museum that we had already walked 3 km!!
