Not working - sorry!

We took this tour last week. We never saw Sweeney - Sweeney tours ended up being a van (rather dirty) with an elderly driver. It was a good tour, but it kind of bothered me that they don't tell you ahead of time of additional costs - charge for the rum distillery tour, and another charge for the botanical garden. It is very easy to book a tour at the port.

You saved me some bucks there! :D (Do I dare admit that I was excited to actually see "John":o) We were waiting on a trolley in Old San Juan when we were approached by this very clean cut gentleman with "I hate to bother you". His story doesn't vary much! I let him get through about the first two lines about he and his dad accidently getting on the wrong side of the wall "where tourists are told not to go and we got taken down" I was about laughing when I said "I heard all about you on the internet" - he VERY quickly said "God Bless You" and headed off faster than lightening! I hurried to the corner to see which direction he'd gone, but he was nowhere to be seen.

One of the best hints I got here before our cruise was to buy a pair of inexpensive gloves that will keep your hands warm, and cut out the shutter finger for taking pictures. It worked like a charm! (I only had one tip of a finger cold :D)

You need to check out the Hawaii forum under "Ports of Call", and you'll get LOTS of info!! We're heading out on the POA next week, and have a car rented in each port. Definitely a good idea to rent ahead of time, as there is limited availability.

What a WONDERFUL review you've given us!! Definitely a help for our upcoming Feb. cruise. I've made soooo many notes from your review, that I'd sure be happy to repay - if you need help with AK, feel free to send me a pm because we sure had a fabulous trip there last year. There were some pretty nasty stories being told on here last year about most of these companies (Alaskanleopard being the exception). I finally just booked our transfer with the cruiseline rather than take the gamble. At least check with the Anchorage BBB before making reservations with one of them.

Is anything within walking distance of Canada Place?? (With a late arrival, we'll be staying at a hotel close to the airport, and taking the Vancouver shuttle to Canada Place the next morning.)
