I won two of them also. I was told that yes they are transferrable one time only. You can then book with the code, likely by calling carnival or TA. The slot tournament entry fee is then free for you. I believe it is a $500 entry fee for this sailing. Someone please correct me if I am wrong on that. Sorry, but I don't have a breakdown of the prizes. Due to health reasons I will not be able to go, so I have two for sale.

We were really disappointed because the Karoke machine was broken or so they said. We really enjoy karaoke just to hear the bad singers!!LOL. My husband is a real vocalist but I sometimes have a hard time getting him to participate.

We were on the Glory 5 weeks ago and they also claimed it was broken. Hmmm.

Congrats ! Just an FYI the slot certificates have to be transferred by October 25 and if u go into the November 8 roll call a few are still looking !!!

This is for the May 24 2015 sailing. I think I have some time still, don't I?

I just returned from the Carnival Glory and entered the slot tournaments on both sea days. Not only did I make it into the finals both times but won both finals. $500 each. Also received two certificates for entries into the slot tournament on the Carnival Dream May 24th for up to $100,000 in prizes. Each entry is worth $500. Not sure yet if we can make it. If not, I was told I can sell them on Craig's List by the casino.

I am sailing this saturday on the Glory and just received an email to not arrive before 1 pm. Normally I would just blow that off and get there when I want, but this appeared on the email:

"Also, and most importantly, on Saturday, the Carnival Glory's crew will be required to participate in a routine, quarterly immigration inspection. As a result, our debarkation process is expected to run a bit behind schedule.

As a reminder, check-in for your cruise is scheduled from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM. For your comfort and convenience, since seating is limited at our cruise terminal, please do not arrive for check-in prior to 1:00 PM."

Is this indeed going to cause a huge back up at the port? We will be going straight from airport and ecpect to arrive at port around 11:30.

Do you happen to remember the name of the beach and how far it was from the port in San Juan? Was it sandy or rocky?

How far is the intercontinel hotel from the port?

It is right on the water just a short 5 minute walk from the bayside marketplace. 5 minute taxi ride I would say.

I just booked from Alamo at the location in the Intercontinental hotel. Booked through costco and saved even more.

We booked a guarantee cabin and are very happy with our assigned cabin. I was wondering if those with guarantee bookings have every received upgrade/upsell call or is that usually only for those who have booked a specific cabin?

I have also read that you can ask for unopened can of soda to take back to your room. Does the same apply to unopened can of beer? Could you then take these drinks off ship in a cooler bag to enjoy on a beach?

Thanks all for your help. I cancelled my shuttle and booked a rental car with pick up at Intercontinental hotel in Miami. Not much more than cost of shuttle and now can keep luggage in car and hit a beach.

My first suggestion is purchasing the luggage express program. I think it is $30 per person, but so worth it, it takes care of checking you in for flight,printing out boarding passes, and once you leave luggage to be checked out in hallway before midnight, you will not see it again until home airport luggage carousel.

This eliminates transferring it, and avoiding wait period of 4 hours before flight to check it in at airport. (This is assuming you have a major airline that participates in program.) I know it works at all ports except San Juan.

Do you know where I can find the list of participating airlines? We are flying westjet from Fort Lauderdale but docking in Miami. Would they still offer luggage express from Miami to FLL?

We have a flight about 6:00. We decided to rent a car post trip. Picking up at POM and returning to FLL. It was pretty reasonable for the day. Also, have FTTF so we can get off ASAP. Plan to either hit the Everglades or miami beach. Haven't decided yet.

Which car rental has a port of miami location? Do they also shuttle you there?

We are a couple in our 50's and will have a few hours to kill. We are using SAS transportation to pick us up at POM, and take us to FLL. Are there any hotels near FLL that might allow us to hang by the pool for a few hours? Any other suggestions?

It is a mechanical area, mostly room for the stacks which are directly above that section of the ship.

Do you think there is any concern of excessive noise?

Does anyone know if this will be a noisy cabin on the Emerald? Not sure what the white space above it is.

For those of you who don't know about it this is a small blender with individual cups. We would order bananas and fruit platters from room service. Add Ice cream and rum. Tried many different combinations. Just kept it set up in the room and poured drinks into travel mugs to keep frosty.
