  1. hey guys, i will be traveling to Bermuda on the NCL Escape September 2-9.. will dock from wed morning till Friday afternoon.. trying to plan my 3 days accordingly from what i read on these boards trying to match whats best for me for the trip. im traveling with my wife on our honeymoon.

    Wed:

leave the ship after brunch at around noon.

take the ferry to Hamilton (or st George) then bus to the caves

take the bus back to Hamilton and depending on how long the caves take explore Hamilton till the harbor nights event starts then back to the ship for a late dinner

regarding this, how much are the ice caves admission? if i want to do one or both whats the price diff? i assume i have to use cash at all these locations.

    Thurs:

have brunch and leave boat 11-12 and take the mini bus ($7pp) to horseshoe, spend the day there and come back by 5-6 to the boat

i have no plans for the night, if anyone has any suggestions as to where we can go after horseshoe instead of coming to the boat im all ears

    Fri:

gonna spend it near the port and go to the glass making store and shop for souvenirs locally till the ship has to leave

if any experienced bermudians can look this over and make suggestions would be great, thanks

  2. alright this intrigues me, can someone explain to me clearly how this cruise next thing works?

you pay for a $250 certificate while on the cruise for a future cruise and what perks do you get?

can i use my current on board credit to pay for this? (not from the OBC u get for buying it)

will the bonus on board credit go towards the certificates if i dont use by end of the cruise?

(if i buy 2 certificates for $500, i get $250 OBC.. at the end of the cruise the OBC would offset the certificates only costing me $250 out my pocket for it in the end?)

also do you have to declare the cruise you want to use it on or you get a window to decide and do research then book with the certificates?

  3. thank you all, one more question,, i will be doing a balcony cabin so i hope to use 2 certificates.. am i only limited to use the $250 ones or can i purchase 2 of the $500 ones and use that towards my cruise payment... basically whne they say you can use 1 or 2 certificates are they only the $250 certificates 2 x 250 = 500 or i can instead use 2 x 500 = 1000 in certificates as well?

  4. im new to this.. can someone explain one more time what the benefit is exactly to get these future cruise credits while on board? what perks do you get? how much on board credit? is it for your cruse your currently on? or is it for the cruise you will book using the credit? i know everyone does it here on the boards and its talked about alot .. im just curious what the actual breakdown is of the benefits of doing so

  5. is this show more like an opera or musical?? will younger crowds enjoy Encore? seems like its for more classical tastes and the younger crowd 30 and below might get bored sitting through it... please tell me people of all ages will enjoy this

  6. hey guys, going to roatan in january and wanted to know if there are any places where u can go in from the beach and be able to see fish swimming around u from lets say waist deep water? not a big snorkeler but would like to see some fish at the beach without having to swim much.. any help would be amazing thanks guys!

  7. We are the Crown now - no complaints. We use the MDR for diner and deck 15 options at breakfast/lunch - all as expected.

This week the average age is down a bit from last week but few children either week. Doing a 5 day next week just before Christmas - will see then how much demographics change.

hey, glad to hear your enjoying your time on the Crown.. ive searched all around for pictures of the main dining room menus for the crown and have had no luck finding any recent ones.. is there any chance you can take pics of the daily dinner menus and post them up?

  8. Desserts. I haven't been on a cruise line yet where I haven't been disappointed with the desserts. Too much fluff, not enough high quality ingredients. They're just bad to me.

I will say something about Modernos - I'm a vegetarian but still pay the surcharge to eat there for the salad bar. I wish they had those offerings on the regular buffet. I just tell them I don't want any meat and really enjoy the salad offerings.

do you still have to pay the full price though your not eating any of the meat?

  9. i might be heading down with a few friends and dont feel like there is time to do much of an excursion. was wondering if there is any places we can head ourselves to snorkle a little bit and see the reef or tropical fish swimming around? i went to bermuda last year and they had great places like horseshoe bay with shallow water with tropical fish swimming all over. also is the areas there safe to go alone and is it even possible to do it with me and a few friends
