  1. “Let’s Have Some Rum” is an excursion offered by Royal Caribbean. If anyone has done this your feedback would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    OVERVIEW

Raise a glass to San Juan’s longtime rum-making traditions as you watch a local bartender mix up Caribbean cocktails before sipping on your own and sampling aged Puerto Rican rum in an Old San Juan bar. Learn about the island’s history and legacy of making some of the world’s best rums while walking amid the walled-in Old San Juan ramparts. Then step inside a local watering hole and take a seat at the bar. Relish the chance to learn from the in-house mixologist on how to concoct three popular tropical cocktails using fresh ingredients and Puerto Rican rum. You’ll then get to choose a cocktail to sip on … will it be the Cuba Libre (rum & Coca-Cola), a frozen coconut-based Pina Colada, or the lime and mint-infused Mojito? Your spirited day also includes a small sampling of the island’s world-famous aged rum. Cheers to fun adventures in Puerto Rico! SJL0

  2. Deck - 8

    Cabin # - 8190

    Class – D5

    Front Port

    Bed near balcony

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – quiet

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions or privacy was an issue– This balcony cabin is at the front of the hump and provides a great view forward.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? – a little larger since it's at the front of the hump. Balcony has a slight angle providing just a little more space.

    Was wind a problem? No

Any specific problems with this cabin? No

    Any other comments?

Great location on deck 8 for access to Central Park. We regularly used the park as our path between forward and aft.

  3. Deck - Vista

    Cabin # - 8334

    Class – 1A

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Balcony

    Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – very quiet;

Balcony View - 8334 is the last cabin along the side. There is a great view forward. You can see the entire length of the ship towards the bow. There is no view in the stern direction.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - The balcony is larger with an angle going from the bow end to the longer side at the stern end (hope that makes sense). Oversized for class with an angled railing; Furniture was two deck chairs and round table. We were able to sit 5 comfortably using room desk chairs.

    Was wind a problem? No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? None we noticed

Any other comments? We like the couch in the room versus two chairs we saw in interior cabins.
