Thank you Vitalsign and Jim, sometimes you just need someone to verify what is staring you in the face in the hope that it will be different. The trip we would have liked to have taken - Dolomites - leaves at 8 sharp I have been informed so seems no room for negotiation there. Not the end of the world. I'm sure we will find something else. Thanks again.

Hi hopefully someone can help. Will be arriving in Venice 23/9/19. Info from Marella website states time in port for Venice 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
Does this mean literally time on 'land' and dock earlier than this, e.g 7 a.m. or is 8 the docking time and all aboard for 6p.m.
We would like to book an excursion leaving Venice 8.00 a.m. or close to.
Thank you in advance.

Come to Ireland ... any part... we only get soft rain. Good for the complexion i'm told.

Has anyone experienced a lot of vibration, 'humming' or 'white noise' in Deck 3 outside cabins on Celebrity Summit particularly those numbered 3112 to 3144
many thanks

Wow! I guess we've been very, very lucky! We enjoy private tours, try to stay with 6 folks (hate those jump seats!) Made some incredible friends & I'm sure we'll make many more. Most important, set a total # of folks, set a firm time & itinerary & don't hesitate to stick to it. That being said, we're on Eclipse in 26 Nov 17 & have room on a couple of island tours, come join us!
If they have the Lobster lunch Catamaran on Antigua, take it! One of the most enjoyable tours we've done on the Eclipse.
Hi keithm did you book the Lobster lunch through the ship or privately. Thanks

Alternatively look at booking a day room at a hotel...Have a nice lunch and swim before being able to shower and change before flying....
We booked a day tour in Miami post cruise and were so exhausted we all fell asleep really more a test of endurance for us. The driver not a happy bunny.
Our next cruise 7.1.18 we dock in Miami and hope to book a day room with maybe transfers.
Any recommendations out there. Thanks in advance.

Disabilities are not always visible.
Hi ProjectGal
I agree completely I have an ICD (A Diffib) and two hip replacements. Sometimes I am able to walk unaided others I need help, that's when my trusty fold up crutch comes in. I traced it on the internet and folds neatly into 3 and is able to be slotted into or on my roller for use on the difficult days.
For the diffib I always carry my 'diffibcard' which allows me to skip all the electronic devices at airports, so far without too much hassle, and if challenged I refuse point blank to allow them to be used on my body, as a last resort I usually show where my diffib is inserted.
Like others because I try my best to be as fit as possible I know I do look health and well which I am so long as I look after and protect myself if I don't it is another story. I do agree Miami can be difficult I really don't know why some of the personnel and security are so abrupt. We find Fort Lauderdale airport less so. I always or nearly always ask for assistance a God send going through busy airports. ;)

Thanks everyone I did consult the site but it must be too early yet for prices don't laugh but it is 7 January 18 we are booked. I just wanted an idea of what it might cost and was hoping someone might have booked one before. I will do pricing on both independent and with Celebrity but as was said it is nice to have the hassle taken out and especially in this volatile world good to not feel on your own and to have the security of a rep especially with long flights and a couple of seas to cross. Will be interesting. :)

Hi All, I see from the celebrity website that they offer a 3 day add on pre-cruise city stay, has anyone used this 'add on' and if so the approximate price please. I was thinking of Fort-Lauderdale in particular. Just a thought :)

P and O from the UK offer this service on their Caribbean cruises don't know about European at no extra charge unless you book a day cabin. Of course you are usually flying with their own chartered flights. It works very well. Food is available as usual together with shower and changing facilities.

This has been a wonderfully informative thread. Thank you for all the input. it has been a great help to me. One suggestion I would make to cruise lines re the special needs form to be completed before embarkation. A question to those who have booked an accessible state room but are not wheelchair bound but need the accessible facilities 'would they be willing to give up their accessible cabin to a totally wheelchair bound person if another cabin could be found on the ship to suit their needs'. I would and would prefer that from the off.
As was stated, mobility at sea is different from that on land and a person with mobility issues - not wheelchair bound- notices this very much also the emergency pull in the bathroom offers people like myself greater security as do the abundance of grab bars etc and the general 'extras' in the bathroom all aid for a better, safer cruise. To have a fall would be awlful for anyone but in particular for someone with joint replacements and other medical problems.

I checked with celebrity and the cruise I priced yesterday Jan 2018 £3500 for a C3 cabin has just risen to £5018 cruise only.

Strongly considering booking 7087 accessible cabin on Riviera has anyone any info on this cabin please. Have cruised before but first time with Oceania and Riviera.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks you for such a wonderful review. DH and myself are deciding on a Caribbean 'special birthday' cruise at the moment and undecided between Eclipse and Oceania Riviera. Think we may book Eclipse now it does seem better value for money not a lot cheaper mind you but a longer cruise and has been said you can only eat so much. In fact I may look into the same cabin as yourselves. :)
Thanks again.

Thanks Jen
Still undecided between the larger Eclipse and Riviera. Not much difference in price Eclipse just slightly cheaper but a longer cruise. Riviera does look lovely and this cruise docks in St Barts where I really would like to see.
Thanks again for your help.

Hi Freckles 49
We are at the moment deciding between Oceania Riviera and Eclipse. Balcony cabins. If you would be so good could you tell me about the stability on Riviera as it is a much smaller ship and the entertainment we like some but what I have seen in reviews seems very highbrow. Also! fellow passengers, don't want to feel out of my depth but are they very posh. dress code concerns me:eek:
Thank you so much.

Good morning everyone. Thinking of booking a back to back cruise with Celebrity for Christmas/New Year 2017/18. Any advice on this please. I am hoping to book air separate as it does work out cheaper. Is it better to book two separate cruises or is there one package on offer?
We would like to remain in the same cabin for both cruises hence early booking.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated before I phone around for prices.

Thanks Brian. :(

Morning all
I know Azura is a "Sterling Ship" but can you final bill be settled using USA dollars? That's if we have any left.

Hi dronnygirl, Yes we have been to Venice before and indeed it is lovely. This time we thought we would like to try a different type of tour but the timing is not right and too stressful. However there are lots of other tours available and as you say just a wander around is another option.
