My friends (who we took with us) talked us into the Taku Lodge. I thought, why would I go somewhere to eat when we have a BOAT LOAD of food on the ship. I was wrong! I loved it. The flight was wonderful and the lodge with their dogs made my day! (I'm a major Labrador lover) and then there was the momma bear with her 3 cubs. You just can't get better than that. I have to admit also that my husband doesn't like helicopters, everything has to work perfectly! He is an aircraft mechanic though. Please don't give me guff on the helicopter thought, it's just how my husband feels. Really though it's what your parents would prefer.
Good luck and happy cruising, your a good daughter!

We were there in late May and didn't catch anything, but Northern Lights were GREAT! He will cut up bait fish and whistle for the Bald Eagles and they swoop down on the water to get the fish! Best pictures we ever got. We went in Sept also and that was wonderful fishing. We caught rock fish, & salmon. Had it shipped right to the house when we got home. BEST TIME EVER!!
Happy cruising,

This is good information. I'm going from Whittier to Anchorage and this seems to be a good price. I just hope I can get my cousins to be ready on time!
Thanks, happy cruising, Pam

I booked this company before the season for $28pp, there was 13 of us, and once at the port they were taking people that didn't have a transfer for $32. We had Judy as a driver and she was wonderful. This is a 50ish seating shuttle with a trailer and did a great job. They have been doing this for about 4 years so I think that was a fair price. Anchorage Tours & Transfers.
Happy cruising,
