  1. Thanks for your reply. We booked the city stay with tours, just like you did.Indeed on my confirmation it states all transfers included, and specifically transfer pier to airport upon return.

Thank you so much for confirming this to me.

Also,in addition to booking confirmation,I am certain what they told me.As an attorney,if I loose this case I need my bar card taken away.

But again, thanks for confirming with your knowledge as to this specific issue.

    Kindest Regards

You may want to check if you booked a City Stay (3 days with tours included), or a pre-cruise hotel.

We booked a City Stay for a cruise in Australia, and all transfers were included.  Pickup at the airport was by private limo, bus from hotel to pier, and bus from pier to airport.

We also booked a City Stay for an upcoming cruise from Dublin and the booking confirmation states that the transfer from airport to hotel, hotel to pier, and pier to airport are all included,  You may want to check your booking confirmation to see if it is listed on it.

Also, when you receive your cruise documentation, it should state the same.

  3. Question-We have booked a pre cruise city stay in Amsterdam through Celebrity.

The description says it includes ALL transfers.

When I booked ,I asked for details and was told this package included all transfers, including transfer from the ship back to the airport in Amsterdam.

Recently called Celebrity and when I asked about the transfers, the agent said she would check as to what transfers were included.

When she returned to my call she now says that it does not include transfer from the ship back to the airport for the return flight.

Does anyone have any experience with this issue?I am obviously going to follow up on this.Cant find answer on Celebrity's site.

    Thanks

  4. We are in Amsterdam for one day on our upcoming cruise. We have not signed up for any tours and will likely try to go on our on for the day.I have heard that the Old City center is a good area to see.Question-what is a good ,safe way to get to this area and then return to ship? Are taxis available and reliable for getting us there and returning to ship. Also,I've heard of a train that might be doable for this?Any help or suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks George R.

  5. We want to explore Amsterdam on our own during our stop there. How easy is it to get a taxi from port to main area and back to port. Are there dedicated taxi stands throughou? What would be the main area to go to as a starting point for walking, siteseeing.I understand no legal Uber in Amsterdam.I've got an ortho issue and cant ride bike like everyone does-wish I could.Want to go into a coffee shop and maybe check out the red light district,as well as canals etc.

  6. I went on a cruise shortly after I had a rod inserted in broken leg(femur).Could not weight bear.Suggest you contact cruise customer service.get the info for the companies they use for the electric scooters. It is a private company-but they are at the ship and they will deliver the scooter to your cabin.Works great and when you leave they pick up from cabin. Also tell cruise you need pier assist because of your mobility issue-they will assist you onboard.

  7. Are you sure tranatlantics are covered under this promotion? We've been doing them for the last five years and the best we've ever done is a token obc. Usually it places like the Caribbean, Europe, and a few others.

I am quite sure that the site had that posted on my booked transatlantic.Do you have one booked? If so,check it.Also-not suggesting that it is really a discount or anything for free- quite the contrary.

  8. While Cruise Critic provides a valuable service,we as readers/posters have a certain responsibility also. Before we post a "rumor" we should have a responsibility to check out our source, much like a journalist should, before they elect to post new story that can effect many people or a company.please be prepared to be fair to your fellow cruisers as well as the cruise line.In other words-what is your source, reliability, etc.?This is not to say that such info is incorrect-but lets trust and verify. What is the source? Is it accurate?

  9. Going on cruise out of Rome.Staying in Rome for three days prior.I have American Express Platinum.I have a few Euros but need to get more before the cruise departure. Is it possible to get decent rate and exchange U.S cash to Euros?Best way and place in Rome if anybody has done this.Thinking that the rate in Rome would be better than ship? Thanks

We were able to order@$ 500 Euros through our local bank-rate not great, but I feel better having a small amount in my pocket. Will use local ATMs at banks while in Rome to get more Euros as needed. Thanks to all for input-you're a great help.

  10. I called American Express-I had gone to a special branch in Atlanta a few years back and was able to obtain Euros.I was told today that American Express no longer has a currency exchange service.Hopefully I can use atms in Rome-Europe.Thanks to all for input.

  12. Have a 12 day cruise coming up. Concerned with diet. I'm addicted to X's waffles and used to have them every morning. Of course followed by burger, fries and a beer for lunch followed by several pina colodas. Brief rest then dinner. Oh forgot the specialty coffee with a handful of chocolate chip cookies.

I said used to. Now what do I do? Tempted to just eat whatever, whenever and worry about the consequences when I get home. A1C only 7.2.

What do the rest of you in this situation do?

Follow the advise of your Doctor-take a course from a Diabetes Patient Educator.A local nearby hospital probably offers. They will give you guidelines to follow at home and while traveling.I have had to deal with this firsthand myself.

  13. For those who have previously stayed in a deck 12 S2 sky suite-what was your experience as far as the oceanview cafe being above you-was your experience tolerable as far as noise, etc.? It would appear to be a good location as far as pool and cafe access. thanks

  14. Cruising on Celebrity for first time.Booked cruise in Nov 2015 for June 2016 cruise-10 days in length,Sky Suite .At time of booking, was told by Celebrity that Sky Suite got in addition to Luminae,a certain number of other specialty dining visits included.I think they said so many per person based on length of cruise?

Could someone in the know, explain to me what this includes and how many nites on a 10 day cruise.

I understand that this was discontinued for reservations made after Jan.1

    Thanks
