First cruise was 1991 on the Fantasy at the time she was the largest ship, had the best time of my life, but things happened and didn't cruise again until 2000 also on Fantasy, now have 26 Carnival cruises and 1 Celebrity cruise, now at 183 days on Carnival hope to make diamond in a couple of years, darn covid has hurt my chances!!

Just got notice of my fun shop purchase on my credit card  for my 4/25/20 Panorama cruise,  kind of forgot all about it! 

Yep! Was on the  April 18 Panorama, Booked for the Sept 26 Panorama!

I have done 4 chartered cruises and all 4 have counted on my VIFP points

• Was on the 4-6-19 cruise partial Panama Canal Cruise, The Red Frog with the band Daft Sailor was always packed! People were getting seats a hour before they started playing.

I had to cancel airfare to Florida in July for a medical issue, I did buy the insurance and had to send in lots of documents to prove the reason to cancel (I did get paid this week), but one thing to remember is to copy all documents in case they want more papers or maybe they didn't receive the originals.

I have done this in the past, I was booked early saver as a solo and added another person the only extra that was paid was the port fees and taxes.

:cool: Years ago when I was farming I used to buy corn seed from the same person for 20+ years, spent $25,000 plus each year, for my loyalty I always got a really nice green cap!!:rolleyes: Whatever Carnival gives me for being platinum I take and thank them for giving me the chance to cruise so many times for a lot less than buying corn seed!!:p

:cool:6-7 years ago we were cruising out of Galveston on the Conquest, the Cowboys were playing the Texans in Houston 40 miles away! The problem was the satellite feed was from Denver, they showed the Chiefs-49ers game (good for me)!! Boy there was a lot of upset people!!:eek:

North to Beach Place.

South to 17th St/Harbor Shops.

It's about a mile to Beach Place from Bahia. Nice walk along the beach.

 

What we do is either walk or take the trolley or city bus to Harbor Shops off 17th Street for last minute and the Total Wine store, if we are carrying on. Good restaurants in that area too. It's probably about 2 miles here.

Yes there is a CVS located at Beach Place. It is about a 10 or 15 minute walk from the Bahia Mar.

Is there a Walgreens, CVS type stores nearby?

I have a cruise booked for Feb. 2015, my passport was due to expire during that cruise, well even tho I had months left I went ahead and renewed it in July!!:o I wasn't gonna take any chances!!:D

I stayed there last year, yes it is dated but for a couple of nights it was a good place to stay. They have a good breakfast in the morning, and the restaurant is excellent!!:) Didn't use the pool but it did look nice, it's right across the street from the gulf!! They even still use a big ol' key for your room!!!:p I plan on staying there again!:)

Oh don't worry a smoke free casino will be next. I give it 2 years.

Never happen. They'll upgrade the ventilation and install an ionization system before they do that. It'll be full of smokers and still smell like a fresh summer rain.

That is exactly what they will complain about next. I for one plan on sitting in the casino and smoking. If someone comes next to me and fake hacks or waves hand around, I will blow more smoke. I have always been a considerate smoker, but now if I am in a smoking section I will smoke and not feel bad about it. If anyone has a problem with that they can go sit on their balcony and enjoy the fresh sea air. Can't wait to see what their next gripe after smoking will be.

:cool: I am a non-smoker, I spend a lot of time in the casino! Most of the time I sit next to smokers they ask if it's ok to smoke!! I always say no problem! But now I don't blame those who just light up and puff away!!

You're right, but now we'll have to listen to bitching ad nauseam about how smokey the casino has gotten.
