I am happy to hear this. We sail in the Haven for the first time this July.
-
Which hotels have the best views of the port of Miami?
-
Do any of you tip early in the week, or do you all wait until the end of the cruise? I was wondering if it would impact the level of service you received.
We are in the AFT suite and wonder as well if that will impact our level of service?

We enjoyed your post and comments about your Deck 9 aft experiences. We are booked in 9918 for an October cruise. It's our first time staying in an Aft suite. The large balcony was the main selling point for me.

So how was your cruise and your experience on Deck 9? Did you find the distance from the Haven a problem?

Like many others, following and enjoying.

More please...

I appreciate all the input from folks. Called and changed our room to deck 9 today.

Stayed in 9918 in May. Amazing cabin. Steakhouse is directly below but we heard no noise. By the time we were in bed it was shut down, and its not open in the morning. The largest balcony was definitely worth it, IMO. On 15 you have Garden Cafe directly above. Always noisy. That's probably the one deck I would not do an Aft cabin on.
Did you find yourself using the Haven less being so far from it? I initially chose the deck 15 as it would be a walk to the other end and then up two flights of stairs? I guess it's the same walk, and then just wait for the elevator.

We recently booked for next summer and chose deck 15 as we will have an aft facing suite. I have read all the threads about which balcony is larger, layout of the room, as well as which deck would be closer to other amenities, and hope we have made the right choice. It is interesting that for the cruise we chose, all the Haven Aft rooms are gone for decks 13, 14, & 15, but available for decks 9-12. It seems like deck 9 has the largest balcony and is very popular amongst some.
Any thoughts on why the lower decks are still available? If 9 is a better choice I was considering changing. Thanks for your thoughts.

Our only annoyance was the balcony doors slamming in our neighboring cabins.
We were amazed at the slamming doors as well, seemed to go on and on at times. We did feel like we had noise from below, but not above. We do sleep with a sound machine, which drowns out a lot of noise, but did hear grinding sounds throughout the night...but we would do it again. We loved the privacy, folks in room next to us smoked, which we respect their right to do, and it did not seem as bad as other balconies we have been on.

Here is a easy to read pdf for the suite amenities http://cruise.expedia.com/pictures/microsite/1274/pdf/NCL%20Suites%20and%20Villas.pdf
Thanks for posting, this is very helpful.

I have been trying to find out if the spa suites on the Epic get all of these perks as well, specifically the bottle of Champagne and 3 bottles of liquor? It seemed to me that maybe the spa suites don't have all the same perks.

Thanks for posting these pics, they are fabulous. The Liberty was our favorite boat we have been on, hoping we enjoy the Breeze as much next February.

back on Cruise Critic trying to figure out our next cruise with our family and you are making a great sale. This is a fabulous review, thanks for the time and energy!

Here is one from our cruise last week as we entered St. Martin. A gorgeous rainbow which was right outside our balcony.

Kamikazes
Vodka,Triple Sec and Lime Juice
My rum runner will be full of it for next weekend:D
Got sick when I was young on these, won't go near them again.
Crown Royal for me. Love it on the rocks, but to get you warm on a cold day, the shot works magic!

Leaving San Diego On the Elation a Few years ago at the Sail A Way Party I looked over the Rail and saw this coming our way! Everyone of us were Wowed!:D
I love this one, that would be really cool to see.

How long of a taxi ride is it from the port to where you take the taxi over to Pinel? Any worries at all about a driver not being there when we need to be picked up to head back to the ship?
-
The shuttle boat drops you right on the main beach. This is the only beach that has anything on it (chair rentals, restaurants, snorkel tours, gift shop). If you REALY want to get away you can then walk 10 mins over a gravel path to the back beach.
Thanks for the information. Which beach would have the better snorkeling?
-
There are 3 ways to go to Pinel:
-Taxi ($25 for 2 or $9 p/p) and then boat shuttle ($7p/p)
-Rent a car and then boat shuttle ($7 p/p)
-Wakawa snorkel tour includes bus and boat shuttle in price along with time to enjoy the beach after your snorkel tour. (adults $79, Kids $49)
Once you get to Pinel Island, is the beach right there, or do you need to take another taxi to get to the beach? We are in port on a day with 6 other ships and would love to find some place a little less crowded.
Last time in St. Thomas we went on our own over to St. Johns to Trunk Bay and loved having the freedom to come and go as we pleased.

Thanks for the review, we are in the other deck 9 H6, 9918 on the July 22 cruise. I love you enjoyed the haven so much, this will be our first cruise with NCL.
I have been debating about what to do with bed for our two kids, 17 year old son and 18 year old daughter, and to possible bring an inflatable mattress as my son is 6'7? Any thoughts?
Did you have two loungers on your deck?
