Ummm no. We are going to be there on March 19. They are not letting ships there from the 10 - 13 march.
They are changing the Anthem itinerary to Miami!! Very disappointed 😔

What’s the best way to handle early debarkation? Specifically, 2 ppl in our party need to cut their cruise short due to work commitments, and need to Debark day 6 of an 8 day in Nassau. Do they need to let Royal know ahead of time or just once on board?
Thanks for any info!

We have early dining. Will we be assigned to one dining room or will we rotate through the complimentary venues? Also, will there be specific formal nights? Last time we wailed this class we had to make reservations every night. I'm confused!

I understand that a lot of the ships are being moved around. Anyone have the info on which ships are relocating to new departure ports?

I have returned jewelry after my cruise. I called carnival and they gave me the contact phone number of the jewelry headquarters. I was then directed to a website where I could print off the return form. I had to send a copy of my Sail n sign that included my purchase. I received a check for the full refund in about 3 weeks. My return reason was " item wasn't quality as expected" (or something like that). Very easy process

1. Yes
2. No
As clearly stated in the promo terms available at NCL's website.
Ty-sorry, I didn't see that! Never sailed no region before, so it's all brand-new to me!

With the Free at Sea, if a cabin has mixed ages and the adult definitely wants the beverage package,
(1)Do all members have to select the beverage package, with the minors getting the soda package?
or
(2) Can the adult pick the beverage package and the minors can have something else?

We are a group of 5 families (18 ppl, mostly adults, + (3) 14 year olds and
(5) 18-20 year olds). We have booked the Carnival Sunshine for an 8 day out of New York. I just got off the Sunshine and was not overly satisfied with the ship, mostly the lido deck layout and the lack of available seating space. Also, the ship didn't handle bad weather very well, and I am concerned about cruising out of NY on that size ship. We only want to sail out of NY or NJ. I am considering switching to the Breakaway, but have never sailed NCL before so there are many unknowns!
In your opinion, would the Breakaway and NCL be a good fit for our group that likes to have fun, be somewhat rowdy, with kids that enjoy being active?
Is it a ship where we will be able to easily meet up with each other even if our cabins are separated?
If we choose the dining as one of our "extras", will it be hard to get reservations together?
WE have only sailed Carnival and RC so if you can also point out any big differences that would be helpful as well.
Thanks in advance! :)
Also-what can you tell me about the "free" beverage package? I know that gratuities have to be paid, but what is included, is there a maximum number of drinks, how strict are they? Someone posted that if one person on the package gets a drink you have to have both cards available? Also, if you have the package can you "buy for a friend"?

Departing on the Sunshine on New Years Eve, and wondering if Carnival ever changes up formal night to match the holiday? If not, have you found that many people dress up anyway?

Docking now and in port until 4pm tomorrow

Do they still do the Legends show on the Conquest and what singers are featured?

Bring binoculars for sure. Plan to dress in layers, the weather can change quickly, and yes, bring a hat and gloves. A waterproof outer jacket is best, and an umbrella came in handy for us. Be sure to have a second pair of walking shoes in case you're out on a rainy day and your feet get wet!
As far as formal wear, we dressed down a bit compared to other cruises. For instance, my husband usually brings a tuxedo but he brought just a suit jacket for this cruise. Many women stuck to pant suits in the dining room.
We visited the Mendenhall Glacier which was awesome and I would highly recommend the Yukon Pass RR in Skagway. We did the 4 hr excursion and it was perfect! Ketchikan is very quaint. We didn't have any excursions planned, but we got a bus tour that was being offered just off the ship. We spent the rest of the afternoon just visiting the shops. We were fortunate to have a longer day there than most since we were returning to Vancouver and not Seattle. Anyone I talked to who went to the Lumber jack Show really enjoyed it.
It is an awesome trip....have fun!

Sorry-YVR?

How long does it take to get from the port to the airport?

We are platinum guests, with priority debarkation as one of the perks. For debarkation in Vancouver, what time can I expect to leave? United has changed my flight itinerary. Thanks!

Click on the "cruise air" section of this message board. There are lots and lots of threads about this type of thing. but be warned, some of the folks might not tell you what you want to hear, while very knowledgeable they can be blunt in their replies. Many folks go there and get their shorts in a knot thinking they are being "rude" or "mean" but they are just telling you the way it is.
thanks!

It depends a lot on when you want to arrive at the departure city. Typically, if you have the cruise line book your flight, it will be for the day of departure, and may not be a direct flight. Too stressful for us. The last time we had the cruise line arrange our flight, our plane was delayed because of mechanical issues. By the time we finally got to Miami, the ship had already left. We had to fly to the first port of call to meet up with the ship. Ever since then, we've made our own flight arrangements. If we fly out the day of, we book a direct flight, as early as possible. However, it's a lot better to fly out the day before. I'm not sure if you can request your flight to be the day before if you have the cruise line do it for you. Just something to consider.
The things you talk about are the down side I have heard about...also the potential for long airport layovers. It's such a hard decision...the cruise air price is nearly half of booking on my own! So wish I didn't have to travel during peak times!
-
I called Carnival about the same thing yesterday, the price was competitive and with the guarantee, that if for some reason the flight is delayed and you miss the ship, they will fly you to next port and put you up in hotel until ship arrives.
Only problem was I would not be able to use airport closest to me.
Do you have to add vacation protection as well? Or is the flight guaranteed just because they booked it?
-
Searched this topic but couldn't easily find anything....
Please provide feedback if you have used Carnival to book your flights. Trying to arrange travel for our upcoming Feb 2016 cruise and while the carnival flight price is the best, I'm not sure if it is worth any hassle that may be associated with it! I understand that the only thing you are guaranteed is departing/arriving airport....not airline or time schedule.
Any info is much appreciated!

Thank you everyone for the recommendations! Now I start my homework!

Visiting Juneau, Ketchican and Skagway on our Sept Alaskan cruise. What excursion would you HIGHLY recommend in any of those ports? Thanks!
-
Where is the quick check option? I usually go through and do a dummy booking - is there an easier way?
I couldn't find it either. Can anyone help? I have 2 cruises booked and this will really help me to keep track. Thanks!
