@IAMGPW with all due respect - the newer of the RCCL ships have been built as floating amusement parks and you should expect them to be full of kids and families.  In my experience Celebrity has far fewer kids if you want a quieter ship.

We were on the oasis. Maybe next time I’ll try one of smaller ships. It looks like Royal is always having the promotion that 14 and under are free. I have no issue with kids , I only have a problem with disrespectful kids .

  2. I am just wondering if all Royal cruises are packed with children.  I have nothing against them, but, a lot of parents were busy drinking and not watching their kids.  Also, the pool was FULL of children.  This was two weeks ago and it wasn't even a school break.

    Thank you.

  3. I just got off this morning. Great food. Amazing staff.  We also had anytime dinning but it’s quicker if you call and ask them now for a time that works for you. Also we found a server we loved and requested him every night. He name was Frolian. If you can request him. Any other questions you can email directly if you want at gpw@sympatico.com.   This was by far my favorite cruise.  This was number 15

  4. We have decided to avoid the MDR this trip and originally thought we would stick to the Windjammer. We did this on the Allure this Spring and really enjoyed the freedom of it. We have never dined in a speciality restaurant except for Johnny Rockets and the free lunch in Giovanni's we got on the Allure for staying in a Central Park Balcony (we had booked an interior guarantee and ended up assigned a CP Balcony - SCORE!).

This time, we have also decided to give speciality a shot. A few weeks ago, I booked the the BOGO 2 day dining package as I noticed it was $37.50 CAD and I figured this would be a good intro to Specialty. I emailed the concierge and asked her to make sure we got Chops and Giovanni's, which she confirmed. I am glad I booked it when we did because a few days later the price jumped to $50 CAD and has stayed there. That is more than a 33% increase - nuts!!

We have also booked Deluxe drink packages. One of us has the stand alone package and the other has the package with Voom. The Deluxe was $519 CAD and with Voom was $619 CAD. I think when I booked they were 20% off. They are a few dollars more if I were to buy them now, I assume that is because of the exchange. I was hoping for a Thanksgiving sale this week, but I imagine if it hits it will be after midnight tonight so my cruise planner will be closed and I won't be able to get the deal.

Oh well, hopefully if there is a Black Friday / Cyber Monday Cruise Planner sale, it will help my other cruises.

Is it possible you can give me the email address to book the dinner

    Thank you

  5. I loved Paradise Beach. Nine of us took a van there for a total of $35.00 last week. There is a huge bouncy play area on the water for adults and child

( Adults cost was $18 and they loved it.. kids under certain age are free.) We hung out at a huge pool with lounge chairs in the water. Entrance was free. We had mojito's that were made fresh from a guy coming around with a cart. The nacho's were also amazing.

    Well worth the money

  6. Sorry if someone asked this question already. If I purchase $100.00 gift card or casino credit on my CDN credit card, doesn't the credit card company set the rate at the time it is processed. I do apologize as I find this all very confusing. Also, is there a limit you can purchase?

  7. Just got off the breeze yesterday. The entertainment was the best part of the crusie. We went to three comedy shows , groove6, name that tune with Matt , karaoke and much more. It was my first carinval cruise and all I am say , is I still have a smile on my face. You will love it.
