  1. Well we are planning on just tooling around Cozumel this time and plan to do a stop at TC....I see lots of great photos of giant margaritas;p...but does anyone have a favorite or must try flavor they'd like to share?

My DH loves the chocolate peanut butter margarita, I love the pineapple or lime. Also, they make a great mojito.

    Cheers!

  2. If you want to see the aerial show in the Centrum from a different perspective, try from deck 8, that is were we were.

Still crowded but we were there early, you get a great view of them hooking up and can really see the faces on the acrobats as they move up and down the decks.

We saw it from deck 8 also, not the whole show...there was not a lot of room.

It was crazy and amazing all at the same time. I highly recommend it.

  3. If anybody can check out the new cabins on the 8th floor 8041 that is what we have booked for next year It looks ok but a little narrow Thanks

We just sailed on Vision for the May 22 sailing, we had JS #8048.

It was smaller than other JS, but still a great cabin.

We found the cabin to be very clean...actually the whole ship

    LOOKS great.

  4. Hi PapaJim, Merrilyn, Edna, Fred, Kelcie, EVERYONE!!

Well...we saw an opportunity and booked something.

There was much discussion as to whether or not we should

wait and post it here to see if anyone was interested.

It was our conclusion that RCI could raise prices at any

possible time, so we pounced like rabid animals...hehe.

Didn't want to miss our chance.

It's Liberty of the Seas, Oct. 22, 2015- 10 nights-

out of Bayonne, NJ. stopping in Bermuda, St. Thomas,

St. Maarten & San Juan---in case anyone was interested.

The roll call is already jamming and the folks are great!

    Cheers!!:D

  5. I thought I was pretty clear with my request, and I was sure she knew what I was talking about. I hate to sound mean but we had more problems with our stewart this trip . We never had any problems before, I guess I was spoiled before. As for the Complimentary dinner,I never looked at certificate, wouldn't know where to look,TA never sent me one ,only that it was part of our ammenities for booking with them

I guess once in a while you get a crappy steward.

Here's hoping for an amazing one on your next cruise, lol

As far as the robes, we always get them in our cabin

    never had to request them.

  6. No see ums. Florida, San Juan, St. Kitts, Outer Banks. Bring bug spray and spray your feet and lower legs. And no, they aren't sand fleas...because I wasn't even on the sand...I'm not really a beach person. But no see ums (biting midges) in tropical areas just love me.

    http://s190.photobucket.com/user/plhunt2/media/005.jpg.html

These are my feet when we spent 5 days in Florida, Melbourne Beach. I forgot to spray my feet. The next day, I forgot to spray the back of my legs, and we sat at an outdoor bar, and I sat on them, and they bit me all over the back of my thighs and a few more on my lower legs. The bites take a while to show up, but they last for weeks and they do scar.

And the reason they are called no see ums, is that they are the size of a period......at the end of a sentence.

    Oh my word, Coral!

Your feet were so bitten and swollen, I am sorry that happened to you.

    Thanks for sharing your pic.

  7. Hi everyone,

Fred, if you are interested in Anthem, supposedly the itineraries and pricing for November 2015 through the spring of 2016 will be on the Crown & Anchor member page on April 25, 2014 for booking. This was posted on another Quantum thread.

I do hope they have some decent itineraries and prices when it is released.

I'd be happy to go on Anthem, depending on the price and itinerary.

    Kelcie

Thanks for the info, Kelcie. I guess then we'll have a good idea on Friday if we're going to book this ship or not.

I think I'd really like this ship class, although who really knows since the full deck plans still haven't been released ... we'll see.

We will keep an eye out and an open mind

regarding a booking, we have our eye on

a certain cruise, but will not pull trigger just yet.

Have a great day Kelcie, Fred and all following this thread!

  8. Sea lice and jellyfish line in the ocean water, bug repellant won't do any good agains them. Sea lice are in the water that time of the year and you cannot see them, and the recommendation is to shower after going in the water, especially your swim ware. Jellyfish you can see , try to avoid

contact. Jelyfish can end up on the beach, stil void contact.

Oh my gosh, that just icks me out, thank you for that info.

    Hey Sheila:D

I don't usually use it, but I was bitten or invaded:eek: by sand fleas for the first time on any cruise in St Thomas at Lindquist beach. And it wasn't pleasant! SIL had over 70 bites and they last (itching insanely) for months. So better safe than sorry. I still have little bumpy scars on my legs from these critters after 2 years:eek::eek: Bullfrogs is a bug repellant and a sun screen.

So take the bug juice and use it if you're going near a beach. These things were in the same proximity as the grape trees and mangroves.

    Hi Becci!

Great to see ya on here!

Wow, you really got bitten. Thank for Bullfrog suggestion.

I will look for it at Target or Walgreen's I guess.

  9. Hello and congrats on starting your cruising addiction, hehehe :D

Oasis is a wonderful ship and I hope you have a very memorable cruise!

Target stores have several travel sized items and high level sunscreen

is one of them. It's handy to have one or two during the cruise.

Also, in the gardening section, they carry an organic or natural bug repellent spray that smells pleasant enough and was easy to toss into beach bag, as well.

(not gonna lie, I did spray the sand around my chair, I loathe buggy, bitey things!) lol

Finally, at Home Depot they have bed bug spray, we never leave home for travel without it and sometimes you can even find it in a travel size. We spray our luggage, too.

It might sound obsessive, but whilst some folks didn't plan ahead and are scratchy-scratching...I will be on the beach enjoying my creepy-crawly-free vacation..haha

    Cheers and Happy Sails!:)

  10. LOL - thanks. I have no idea if anything of that is right. More like they probably moved the ship because they found out the RTR's were planning a reunion on their newest ship and they just can't allow that to happen again. You'll notice Royal Caribbean just recently joined Cruise Critic, and now this happens... coincidence my friend? I think not!:p

    ;)

RCI agents are lurking amongst us??? Ooohhhhh, creepy!! hehe:D

Frank and I are ready, we still have our pirate hats :)

ML and I got our next roll call to do a funny hat pub crawl, hahaha

We are gonna try & relive the glory of our RTR crawl...whoop, whoop!:D
