I have had the privilege of sailing with Hector several times over the past few years. Not only does he have a marvelous voice, he is also a great person. Professionally, you'll be hard pressed to find a head waiter any better within the fleet. Watch how his team works with him and responds to him. That says a lot about the man. He does his utmost to see that the passengers in the dining room have an enjoyable time at every meal. Personally, he is kind and generous. For me, Hector is no longer a crew member. He is my friend and I am proud of that. I look forward to sailing with him again.

I did Disney solo this past March. I'm not a kid person (never had any. They scare me!) I didn't have any problems. Serenity Cove (no kids beach) was wonderful. There were so few people out there eveyone was talking amongst themselves and it was a party atmoshpere. On the ship itself I notices how the staff was vigilant in keeping kids out of the adult pool area. Prsonally, I'd have no qualms about going solo on Disney again.

This past August, while sitting home recovering from surgery, I had a flash of my own mortality. At 57 I have 31 years with my employer. Took a HARD look at my medical insurance options and decided I could do it. I want to go and do while I can, not look back saying "I wish I had....". My current date to bail is 1 February!

Coundown calendar? Yep, sure did! To make it REALLY painless I'm only counting the actual days my butt has to be in my seat!
